I'm not highly educated on the wealth of countries, but I don't think Argentina classifies as really poor. Everything I looked up shows them in the 50-60 range where as Philippines are in the 120-140 range.
Either way they'll do just fine in Argentina, they support their local fighters just as well as any country and it's a boxing country regularly holding televised fights on TyC.
As for the Philippines they have screenings of Pac fights with ridiculously long ads in between rounds. i.e. Filipino fans watch Manny Pacquiao fight Brandon Rios in Manila | Demotix.com

Props to Floyd, this is actually one of his biggest threats that he has faced recently. Maybe in his entire career, Maidana is DANGEROUS and he's not washed up like the other boxers he's faced.

"No fight," stated Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe, who moments ago just left a meeting with members of Team Maidana and representatives from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Evidently, a controversy over the gloves that WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana is wanting to use has placed Saturday's fight in jeopardy.
When both teams arrived to select their gloves, Team Mayweather was not pleased with the lack of padding in the Everlast gloves that Team Maidana wanted to use. After hours of back-and-forth conversations between Ellerbe, Robert Garcia, and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, the Commission ruled that the specific gloves that Maidana wanted to use were not acceptable, however, the actual brand and style would be allowed provided Maidana use a different pair.
That decision did not seem to sit too well with Ellerbe, who had no problem declaring that the fight would be off. Team Maidana abruptly packed their bags and left the room. It's unclear at this point what the status of the fight is.

Those are custom made Everlast gloves, factory sealed and delivered and opened there on camera. If there wasn't enough padding that would mean Everlast deliberately it, which of course they wouldn't cuz it would ruin their reputation.
Everlast makes varies styles of gloves, these are punchers gloves. Golovkin wears the same ones, custome made White. Rosado tried to say the same thing but the commission showed Golovkins gloves were up to par. I think some fighters that don't wear Everlast or that style or Whatever just aren't familiar with them. My gut here is its the same thing and Floyd is trippin. Only way to know for sure is for the gloves to be tested after. But we have video of them factory sealed and delivered by Everlast so we know there was no tampering of the gloves or foul play.

Wow now Floyd rejected a second pair of Everlast MX gloves approved by the commission:

According to NSAC, Maidana can wear his approved gloves. Floyd must accept.

As long as Chino wears an approved glove, fight is OK. Camps are discussing between themselves, but Chino can wear the red MX per NAC

The NAC already approved a pair. Maidana should not compromise. If Floyd wants to walk let him walk. It will be a duck that he can't avoid because the NAC approved the new pair.
