Last night I saw something on Facebook that would normally make me text SOCO and be like "aye bro check that shit out," we used to do that shit back and forth crackin each other up.

Soco was a laid back ass dude but he was also very sharp, he'd let you know if he thought you were full of shit, but he did so in a way to let you know he was your breh.

All I ever here tales about from my older friends in their 30s is the real deal skunk from back in the day.

They say it couldn't be kept in a bag and it actually smelled like a skunk's piss. Also that it was a creeper, it took a good 10-15min to hit but was really powerful like put a lot of people to sleep. My fam and hydro store owner were reminiscing about that shit today making me jealous as hell.

I wish I could find that shit...

Yea its mostly romanticizing the past, weed is obviously stronger today by far. But if you think about it real good weed back in the day really was stronger from perspective. If all there was on average was like 10% thc weed, then some fuckin 25% comes outta nowhere, obviously that's like a huge fuckin difference as opposed to the average weed nowadays being like 20% thc and some 25% coming around. Just using bullshit numbers to illustrate a point.

Also some weeds hit you like nothing else, cut through your tolerance like nothing

Yeah I see what you mean and I think of that sometimes but I think the quality was there in the mid to late 90s as well just a lot harder to find and most didn't wanna pay. And the other difference was the market wasnt saturated with kush. I get pretty fucking sick of kush at times because I know how much other good there is but I do recognize kush's potency can be hard to match. But keep in mind nowadays people will throw the name of kush on any dank tight indica nugs.

There is more to why I think that stuff would be the real deal nowadays too.
