lmao wtf
Former San Diego State RB Adam Muema left the NFL combine because he says God told him he’d be a Seahawk
Adam Muema chose not to do any drills and leave the NFL combine due to divine intervention.
The former San Diego State RB said God told him he'd be drafted by the Seahawks if he didn't participate in the combine.
From the San Diego Union Tribune:
He said he was "following God," who told him if he missed workouts, he'd play for the Seattle Seahawks.
Playing for Seattle is his "dream," Muema said. NFL teams are aware of the decision.
"Can't go wrong with God," Muema said.
He also told the Union-Tribune that God told him "to sit down, be quiet, and enjoy the peace." Peace obviously away from Indianapolis. He's returning to San Diego to continue preparing for the draft. Peacefully.
Muema is deeply religious, as evident by the scripture quotations and references on his Twitter account, and he even has "Seahawks #8" in his Twitter profile.
He was projected as a possible third-day pick after rushing for 1,244 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2013. He left San Diego State after his junior season and his decision to skip the combine likely isn't going to send him rocketing up draft boards. The Seahawks also have a pretty crowded backfield at the moment with Marshawn Lynch, Robert Turbin and Christine Michael.
But what happens if the Seahawks don't select Muema or sign him if he isn't drafted because of his Seattle preferences? If he goes to any of the other 31 NFL teams it could be a fascinating situation
