there's a grip of options out there nowadays. They've really come a long way as far as getting subs into a truck, especially an extended cab with fitting them under a seat. Pioneer makes a pretty good low profile sub that should fit under the back seat if you have one

I got 2 JL audio w7 12's in the Lexxo ran by the stock stereo (because you dont really need to upgrade those now a days) pushed by a 1000 W x 1 @ 1.5-4 ohm JL Audio Amp

I'm a music junkie as most of us probably are on here and listen to a pretty wide range of music. I'm not trying to break windows and piss off my neighbors but there are certain songs that the artist/producer intended to sound good with subs and that's true from Dr. Dre to Sade. Showing off your subs is a good way to become a target for getting your car broken in to even though I have a garage and all that, you don't want to walk out of the store one day and find all your stuff gone if someone recognized your car
im jealous of yall with the JL 12's. I never owned any myself, but a few years ago my buddy let me run an extra 12 he had and god damn the clarity was amazing.
I down graded from 2 kicker L7's to a lonely pioneer 12 this last year after the amp I had got fried in the summer. Went about a week with no slap after sellin the l7's and picked up what I got now off a friend.

There's a lot of gimmicks out there too if you're looking to buy stereo stuff so do your research!! Stereo shops will rob you blind too so shop around.
Also, it seems like every single stereo shop asks you for your address when you buy something. DO NOT GIVE THEM THIS INFO. It sounds like common knowledge but a lot of those dudes steal from their customers. That's consistent from Cali to NY.

hell yeah^. Those shops that only carry one brand are usually so fuckin overpriced its ridiculous how their in business. "yeah we'll install your deck and 4 speakers. that'll be $180 bucks please" like whaaaat the fuck. if you cant do that shit in 20 minutes yourself, maybe you should get ripped off...

I actually had a dude hook me up at the stereo shop pretty clean, but he's probably the one who jacked me lol
They stole my head unit, cd changer, 2 solo baric 12's, cheap dresser from K-mart still in the box, my sweatshirt, but they left a brand new kicker comp vr 12 sitting on the seat. wth? Overall, it was like 1200-1500 I spent, but the insurance came back and paid me over $2500 because the dude at the stereo shop wrote up an invoice of what it would cost to replace everything I had and they took his word for it.
