Because it's brought up more since its Pacquiao who is the second biggest name in boxing. If Lara or Abril were constantly talked about on this forum I would bring up those robberies all the time.

Plus this all goes back to Floyd's comment about Pacquiao being 1-2 in his last 3 fights therefore he wont fight him. If we dissect that statement we know it really shouldn't be true, even Floyd's own family scored it for Pacquiao. And of course Khan is 2-2 in his past 4 fights snd his 2 wins being over a bum and washed up fighter that nearly won. So we look at quality of opponents, circumstances, etc., not simply a number.

Like when Floyd said Cotto should really be undefeated because Margarito cheated and Pacquiao beat him at a catchweight. Hilarious contradicting stuff.

Fight someone worthy just not Khan. I was cool with that fight because it was a super fight even though Canelo really hasn't accomplished anything I mean the guy won his title by fighting for a vacant belt against Matthew Hatton who never even fought in the division. That fight did 2.2M buys...$150M gross...I don't think ANY boxing fan would go back in time and put any other fighter in Canelo's spot...knowing that you are jeopardizing a historical moment. Only Pacquiao could fit in that spot...but any other fighter would have been less monumental. We all thought Canelo was to green at the time BUT...Canelo could probably hold his own against any 154 pound challenger out now.

Regardless, Canelo was The Ring champ so either way most light MW are not as popular at all so he kind of had to fight Canelo since Floyd was also a champ at 154. That made sense.
