Not that I care about others' opinons regarding this, but really what else is it going to take to be considered the best QB in the league? Don't say win a Super Bowl, because Joe Flacco got one last season, and I don't see anyone saying he is the best QB in the league lol
He's playing with the best defense in the league and one of the best running games (btw I do realize he has almost 500 rushing yards himself) but still...

He hasn't had to throw for nearly as many yards as a lot of other qbs, because not as much is asked of him due to the great team around him (although I will admit he doesn't have great receivers) I'm not trying to discredit him. He's a great qb. Right now probably the best out of all the young up and coming guys, but let's pump the brakes on calling him the best in the league. If you're going to give me one qb with everything else around him the same, and I can choose any qb in the league for one season I'm not taking wilson over manning, brees, brady, rodgers, and arguably a few other guys. Imo rodgers is the best right now. Look at how that team has gone to shit without him. Take Wilson out of Seattle and they'd be ok still.

As far as needing a ring, I think you do need one to be considered the best. I'm not saying a ring by itself makes you the best, if that was the case eli, flacco, and big ben would be in the conversation. I'm saying you need a ring plus some years of consistency and the stats to be considered the best. A few years from now we could be calling him the best in the league, he has the potential. It's just to early for that now, in my opinion at least

sure defense is huge, and a run game is huge, but we didnt even have that for like over half the season. the line was straight decimated and receivers had no time to get separation, there were no holes to run through and run plays were usually stopped behind the line. there were even times when the defense was broken down and failing. every one of those games wilson gave seattle a fighting chance til the absolute last second. if there was no time for separation hed make time with his legs. if they needed a drive sustained hed make it happen by some miracle. his 4th quarter clutch is ridiculous. his confidence and leadership feed his teammates and every player out there fights to the last second. seattle hasnt even really played an entirely complete game with every single offensive player. closest was the season opener and harvin was out. wilson is just now getting national recognition, and what should be scary to everybody else and even gives seattle fans goosebumps, is theres still room for them to play even better. no ones even seen what this team is truly capable of. ill give some hints though... December 9th 2012, 58-0 against arizona. December 16th 2012, 50-17 against buffalo, December 23rd 2012, 42-13 against san fran... and wilson is even better now and is a person who learns from every mistake he makes and strives to remain humble and reset to 0 and to continue to get better and theres no limit to his improvement. you say he hasnt had to throw, i strongly disagree, he has in critical 4th quarter situations and in games where the defense was poor and he has won those games. hes been tested plenty, and i say he hasnt even had a chance to really pour it on yet, and when he does it will be obscene

russell wilson... best qb in the history of the NFL (lol, just fucking with you)

RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett knows the name to drop around town to get what he wants.

Bennett tried to make a reservation over the phone at an exclusive unnamed eatery Tuesday, thinking his status as a defensive star for the NFL's top team was good enough. After all, he returned a Drew Brees fumble 22 yards for a touchdown just one night earlier.

"But they told me they were all booked up," Bennett said in a 710 ESPN radio interview.

Undeterred, Bennett had an alternate plan of action.

"I called them back a few minutes later," he said. "I said, 'Hey, this is Russell Wilson. I'll be attending your restaurant today. Do you have any tables?'

"And she was like, 'Yes! We can make a table for you! You were 22-for-30 the other night, 130 quarterback rating!' She knew every stat."

Bennett changed his voice when he called the second time, although his Wilson impression on the radio didn't sound much like his teammate. Bennett raised his voice a little and tried to sound cerebral.

The ruse was going to be hard to pull off when he arrived at the restaurant, considering the fact Bennett looks nothing like Wilson, is six inches taller, 70 pounds heavier and has a beard.

"I got to the restaurant with my wife and kids," Bennett said. "I said, 'Oh, thank you. I'm Russell Wilson.' She was like, 'Good joke.' I said, 'Gotcha.' "

Bennett and his family still got the star treatment.

"She took me to the table and they had it roped off," Bennett said. "They had sparkling water and everything."

Russell Wilson was selected in the MLB rule 5 draft by the Rangers
he is a damn good athlete i doubt he would try 2 sports as a pro but if anyone can i bet he can

"General manager Jon Daniels called Wilson -- impressed that the quarterback was working out at 6:30 a.m. PT, shortly after the Rangers made the pick -- and told him the club wasn't trying to distract him from his current job.

Wilson, however, expressed a desire to come to spring training and work out.
