I went thru a phase of wearing all blue for some reason in my freshman and sophomore year of high school. I got into listening to lots of Brotha Lynch and X-Raided and liked to "pretend" I was a Crip, but like any normal suburban white 15 year old I never actually claimed it. I just wore blue Russell Athletic T's and Hoodies and blue Chucks and blue Dickies all the time, it's just what I liked and I couldnt get into the punk or Emo shit my friends wore.
So one time we're at fucking Scandia of all places, a fucking mini golf place in Rohnert Park. That area, including Santa Rosa, has a lot of Norteno gang activity. Well we were chillin, like one other dude and five girls, waitin to get picked up by someones mom in a minivan. Its about ten o clock at night, Scandia had closed, and we're just in the parking lot. This minivan rolls up and stops and the dude we were with, a real pussy, walks up to the car and yanks on the door. One of the girls is like "that's not my moms car, Sean" and the dude backs up. the Sliding door opens and the passenger window rolls down and a Latino looking dude wearing all red hangs a pistol out the window while the guy in the back seat drops a baseball out the door, like tapping it against the floor of the car. Passenger seat dude tells me to come forward, and I'm like "Nah man I'm good," clearly shitting my pants. Hes like "What u claimin?" and I stammered "cl-claiming what? Uh Im not claiming anything." At this point most of the girls and the guy I'm with are scared and silent, but one bitch decides to start talking shit. "Fuck you! What are u gonna fucking do, pussy!" I always hated these types of bitches because they always started shit but obviously could never back it up.
This dudes like "Shut up bitch, I'm not talking to u. Your homie here is wearing all blue and that ain't cool around here. We'll give u a pass this time but don't wear that shit around here again." And they rolled off.
Needless to say I quit wearing that all blue shit.
