Golovkin offered Quillin a fight before the network fued and Peter turned it down. I don't know why you're so confident in Quillin all of a sudden the guy had his hands full with Rosado and at times Rosado was pushing Quillin back and appeared to be the stronger guy.

I don't know what you have Against GGG, the guy has been trying to fight anyone and everyone. Recently Ward was asked about GGG and he said "Golovkin isn't a fight that will catapult me ahead of Mayweather ". He wants a Froch rematch.

GGG been getting great ratings so the fight will come. Rumors are if no Murray perhaps Geale which is a solid fight for February then hopefully Sergio.

I think Ward beating GGG would be much more impressive than if he fights and beats Froch again. Ward is trippin. No one wants to see that shit! Got Em!!

But I guess losing your first child a few weeks before the fight had nothing to do with Quillins performance. And Quillin still beat up Gabe pretty easily too, it's funny how prep act like Peter was going life or death with him. Peter dropped him and beat his eye up. Lol. I have always said that Quillin will give GGG he'll ain't nothing new. I'm sick of the hype of a guy that fought fucking no one.

Please stop with this he's trying to fight everyone bullshit. Just because this K2 sends out a lot of low ball offers don't mean people don't want to fight him. HBO need to start offering real money if they want dude to fight good fighters, but then GGG would actually have to step up and risk getting Donaire'ed.

I'm sick of hearing about how everyone is avoiding this guy. Well move your ass up to 168lb and all them guys will fight you. His WEAK ass resume don't match the hype.

Ward is not tripping at all you already hear 206 making excuses for GGG not to move up. Ward knows that after he beats up GGG the media and fans will whin about how GGG was so little and moving up. Lol. HBO don't want Ward to expose their hypejob. GGG will feast on bums and keep whining about everyone ducking him. The whole time getting praised like he's an elite fighter. Ward is learning how Mayweather felt and how he got treated at HBO. The sad part is Ward not a cash cow, so he has to smile and take it.

Bottom line is GGG is willing to even drop to 154 to make a big fight so him staying @160 is not a big deal. Once he moves up to 168 it can take a toll on his body if he decides to drop after that so he really is in the long hall and give fans what they want. Look at Floyd, he's only willing to gain 5 lbs for a huge money fight and is stuck with a "unknown" 147 roster from GBP. Is Floyd willing to go down to 140 to make a huge fight with GBP's 140 roster which is better? No, cuz it can take a toll on his body. Its called taking care of your body and making wise decisions until the time is right

DANNY GARCIA: "2014 IS GOING TO BE A BIG YEAR...I'M READY TO TAKE OVER THE GAME"
By Percy Crawford | November 13, 2013

"Most likely. We really don't know yet right now. It's 50/50 right now. Really, it's like 60/40 right now what I'm gonna do; whether stay at 140 or probably go up and fight at a catchweight or something. I don't know yet, so I'm just on vacation right now in Miami and enjoying my time off...2014 is going to be a big year for us. I'm ready, man. I'm ready to take over the game," stated undefeated jr. welterweight king Danny Garcia, who talked about his victory over Lucas Matthysse, his future plans, and much more. Check it out!

PC: Danny, congrats on all of the success you have accomplished. It seems that you are finally getting the credit you deserve. How does it feel to finally be recognized as one of the best fighters in the world?

DG: It feels good, man. I worked hard for this. I always knew where I stood at and that's why I took on all of the challenges that I took. I always knew what I was capable of. I'm just happy to be where I am and I'm just gonna continue to stay focused and keep working hard.

PC: I know fighters don't pay too much attention to what fans and media are saying, but when it's littering social media, you have to see it. People went as far as putting your face on a Howard the Duck picture, insinuating you were ducking Lucas Matthysse. Did that bother you or did you get a good laugh off of it?

DG: Yeah, I seen it. It was funny. The fans just wanted the fight to happen, but they gotta understand, fights like that don't get made overnight. I accepted the fight as soon as they offered it to me. I did what I did and now we move on.

PC: How crazy was it to see 12,000 people show up to see you guys basically step on a scale?

DG: Ah man., that was crazy; that was crazy. That was a historical event and I'm happy that I was able to be a part of it and do my thing.

PC: I know sometimes you guys don't really come face to face until the media blitz when the fight is signed. Once you were able to size Lucas up, what were your thoughts of him?

DG: When I sized him up, it was just like, he is smaller than me, he wasn't bigger than me, and he didn't look strong. I didn't see anything in him that I didn't see in any other fighter. He was just another guy in my way.

PC: It seems like every year in boxing, the fans and the media create another boogeyman that everyone is supposed to be afraid of and no one will fight. What are your thoughts on these mythical boogeymen that get created within the sport?

DG: Like I said before, ain't no boogeymen in boxing. Sometimes the media can become fans too and they find themselves becoming more of a fan than writing the truth. They go by what people say instead of doing their real research. I don't really worry about that.

PC: I think a lot of people didn't factor in your amateur pedigree and your ability to adjust during the course of fights. What was the plan going in and did anything Lucas do surprise you during the course of the fight?

DG: It was pretty obvious what he was going to do. I know that he can't fight backing up and he was just going to come forward the whole fight. I knew all I had to do was to just be smart and stay on his left and that's what I did. I did everything that I wanted to do in that ring. He had more fights, but I have been in better fights. I was the more experienced fighter and it showed that night.

PC: A lot of people didn't catch it, but the body shot you hit him with was the setup punch to the knockdown. Did you know that you had hurt him with that shot?

DG: Yeah it was. I hurt him to the body with a right uppercut that hit him right in the stomach, and then I hit him with a 4-punch combination and that's when he went down. I didn't really notice that was the shot until I saw it. It was actually a right uppercut and then another body shot and then the combination, and that's what put him down. He was hurt before he went down.

PC: You are on top of the world at 140. Obviously you will eventually fight at 147 because of your size. Will your next fight be at 140 or is it still up in the air?

DG: Most likely. We really don't know yet right now. It's 50/50 right now. Really, it's like 60/40 right now what I'm gonna do; whether stay at 140 or probably go up and fight at a catchweight or something. I don't know yet, so I'm just on vacation right now in Miami and enjoying my time off.

PC: You have a car wash, a barber shop, and a gym in Philly. How important is it to venture out into these businesses outside of boxing for you?

DG: It's important to me because not only am I investing my money, but I'm giving back to my community. I'm giving people jobs and giving people hope and just being a role model in the community, and to me, that's what it's all about.

PC: We have been talking for a long time and we have always talked about the importance of your dad, Angel Garcia. What is it like to have someone in your corner who you know, at the end of the day, has your best interest in mind?

DG: Ah man, it's a great feeling, man. He knows what I am capable of, so even if I am winning a fight, he wants me to be better. He was just doing what he does in the corner and I do what I do and it works for us.

PC: I appreciate the time as always. Enjoy your vacation and I look forward to seeing you back in the ring next year. Is there anything you want to say to your supporters my man?

DG: Ah man, 2014 is going to be a big year for us. I'm ready, man. I'm ready to take over the game.

MAYWEATHER SR. BREAKS DOWN THE SHOULDER ROLL AND EXPLAINS WHY CANELO WAS EASY WORK FOR FLOYD
By Percy Crawford | November 13, 2013

"I taught Lil' Floyd a long time ago when he was a kid the style to where we stayed closed up and those big strong guys don't have anything to hit. When you closed up, man, them punches ain't gonna do nothing to you, and you can see it coming that way and it sets up your punches," stated world-class trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr., who reflected on his son's performance against against the previously undefeated Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. During a recent conversation with FightHype.com, Mayweather Sr. thoroughly broke down their game plan and explained exactly why Floyd Mayweather was able to make Alvarez's effort look like a sparring session. Check out what he had to say!

FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR:

"When Floyd was closed up against Canelo, once he opened up, he could hit him with anything; the uppercut, straight right hand, and hooks. It's simple, man, when you have learned it since you was a baby. When you are closed up and fight behind your shoulder, no matter how big or strong Canelo was, he just wasn't going to have a big enough target to hit. It makes you small. In their mind, they know they can hit you with a clean shot, but as soon as they fire, that shoulder gets up there and it frustrates these guys. You could see Canelo getting frustrated. As a matter of fact, Floyd's last couple opponents have been trying some dirty tactics because he's frustrated them so much."

"But the style that we use, you shrug most of the shots off and there is never a clear target. But you have to use your shoulder and be good at it. You come in with the arm across your stomach, so your protected there; you got your jaw blocked on the same side as your fist blocking your stomach, and your shoulder being up protects your backside jaw. Lil' Floyd is good at all phases of it. He caught everything Canelo tried to throw and that was the difference. No matter how big or strong you are supposed to be, if you can't land anything clean, you gonna be in for a long night and Canelo found that out."

"My son came in dominating the boxing game and he's going to go out just like that. I told the papers down here before the fight, I said, 'Look man, this ain't gonna be nothing but a workout. That's all it's going to be.' I knew Floyd was going to touch him up. I knew he wasn't going to hit Floyd and Floyd was going to hit him whenever he wanted to hit him and I knew it was going to be just like a gym workout. And I told them, it ain't nothing Canelo going to be able to do about it. All of those words are in the paper before the fight. I knew what it was going to be."

mikey garcia easily gets outboxed by a slick fighter

plus nobody really poses a threat to him at 130-135 lbs lack of competition

the only fighter i can think of would be yuri gamboa and that's not saying much considering his last fights have been shit

Well Gamboa hasn't had a chance to get into rhythm because of poor management. He should have stayed with Top Rank and fought Rios, who knows what his career would be like now. Instead he hung around 50 and Floyd snd that lifestyle got to his head.

He's also fighting at a weight which is too big for him. 130 is his max, imo.

Regardless, I still feel he's the toughest opponent for Garcia right now.

My daughter was birth at six and half months, so yes dumb ass Quillin did lose his 1st child. But again Quillin didn't make no excuses I'm just stating facts. You do know that GGG team said he was fighting in Feb right after the fight. Why don't GGG wait until after Ward and Froch fight before making his next bum fight?? Lol. It's because he want to fight another bum while still saying everyone is ducking him. If GGG wants to fight another champion his team and HBO better offer a million or its a lowball offer.

You right about one thing Mikey ain't Mayweather because he has a lot of work to do to get even close to that status. This is coming from a Mikey fans too. Let me know when Mikey start KO'ing lineal champions and P4P fighters then I will be really impressed. KO'ing undefeated lineal 140lb champion Hatton > KO'ing Juanma a guy that got brutal KO ed by Salido twice. Lol. Nice talking to you, because you are always good for a laugh.

So you're making excuses for Quillin as to why he struggled with Rosado?

He's fighting in Feb to stay active and isn't on an HBO budget. HBO may pick it up and replay it delayed but it wont cost them anything. The other reason is because Murray, GGG's mandatory, has VISA issues getting into the US. He has no issues getting into Monto Carlo so the plan was to offer him a fight there but looks like Murray is playing it safe.

Abdusalamov expected to survive!
Comatose heavyweight Magomed Abdusalamov condition is improving, leading doctors to say he will live.

Nathan Lewkowicz, vice president of Sampson Boxing, Abdusalamov promoter, told ESPN.com of Adusalamov's condition on Thursday.

"A week ago, the doctors thought he was not going to make it, that he would not survive. They said they were 100 percent sure he would not make it," Lewkowicz said. "Now they think it has turned around. They say he is going to make it now. They have seen progress with his motor skills from the tests they have been doing.

"The words out of their mouth after the surgery were, 'We don't think he's going to make it.' They said that to the family. Now, based on how he's progressed in these different tests, they changed their view. From what the doctor is saying the brain swelling has subsided."

The 32-year-old Abdusalamov (18-1-1, 18 KOs), a married father of three young daughters, has been in a medically induced coma at Roosevelt Hospital in New York since having brain surgery to remove a blood clot that formed during a 10-round decision loss to Mike Perez in a vicious battle on Nov. 2 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in front of a national audience on HBO.

He was placed into a medically induced coma to give the brain swelling time to subside, but he was also on life support machines. Lewkowicz said doctors plan to bring Abdusalamov out of the medically induced coma in the next few days.

"They think they will try to wake him up in two or three days and see how he reacts," Lewkowicz said. "We don't know if his speech will be slurred or if he will be blind, which are major possibilities. The stroke could hinder some of his motor skills. He might not be able to speak well. He might be blind. The best we hope for is that he can lead a normal life."

Not long after the brain surgery, Abdusalamov suffered a stroke while in the coma and his temperature rose to 104 degrees, and doctors do not know what damage was done. However, Lewkowicz said that Abdusalamov showed unexpected signs of improvement in recent days.

"They did a test by pinching his arm and he was smacking the doctor's hand away, showing his motor skills are coming back. They weren't expecting that," Lewkowicz said. "It's amazing progress. It's good news. He's still young, only 32, and was in good health before what happened. So that is very helpful."

Besides the brain bleed, Abdusalamov suffered superficial injuries during the fight, including a broken nose, broken hand, cuts and bruises. He appeared to be OK after leaving the ring and was going to go to the hospital to have the injuries checked out. Then he began to feel sick and complained of a headache before vomiting. When arrived at the hospital, he had a CT scan, which revealed the blood clot and he was rushed into surgery.

Get well soon Mago!

ERISLANDY LARA BLASTS AUSTIN TROUT; SAYS HE'S A RUNNER WITH NO BALLS
By Ben Thompson | November 14, 2013

"Austin Trout is an okay fighter. There's nothing special about him. I feel that he's on his way out. He had his time and I'm going to prove that. And as far as having a heart, you know, let's see in the ring. I'll show him in the ring who has a heart or not and we'll decide then," stated top jr. middleweight contender Erislandy Lara, who shared his thoughts on his upcoming December 7 clash with former jr. middleweight champion Austin Trout. When asked for his opinion of Trout's technical skills during a recent conference call, Lara made it clear that he believes the former champion is averse to taking punishment and prefers to do more running than fighting inside the ring.

"Well, the big difference between Paul Williams and Austin Trout is that Paul Williams has balls. He was a fighter that would attack you and he was aggressive and he would come at you and he knew how to box as well. With Austin Trout, he's just a guy that runs; he's a fighter that runs," Lara explained. "That's what he's always done in all the fights. It's not the same as stand and fight right in front of you at a fighting distance than to be standing far away and trying to fight far away."

Regardless of what style Trout brings to the table, Lara vowed that he would stick to his own game plan and come out victorious. "No, no I'm going to calm. I'm going to be calm in this fight. I'm going to do my job and I'm very confident that doing my job is going to have the results and I'll be fine and I should win," he added.

Quillin stopped Gabe 2 rounds later then GGG. Lol. Come on pimpin stop with the hype. No one at 147lb wanted to fight Paul Williams and guess what a real fighter like Paul moved to 154lb then 160lb. So you can save that everyone is ducking me shit. Paul Williams was the real warrior be was the first one to expose Margarito overrated cheating ass, then he beat up Segio Martinez in the first fight. Paul Williams is a true most avoided man, but he didn't get his respect until he got fucked up and couldn't walk. Now tell me about who GGG beat again??
