the fuck is WRONG with some of you?

you muh fuckers didnt play with toy guns as kids?

I know I had an M-14 replica that shot caps, so some fucking punk ass pig should have rolled up on me & killed me for playing with a toy?
imo, parents shouldnt be lettin thier kids play with fake guns breh. theres plenty of other fun shit to do besides pretending your on the hunt or protecting your self from imaginary assassins. i played with toy guns when i was a kid, but now that im older, i see no point in making guns for kids. it takes the respect away from guns for kids, when most adults them selves dont have respect for them.

my parents didn't let me play with guns bro.
well that sucks breh, we were out playing GI Joe in the rain with anything that resembled a gun.

times have changed, and my kid doesnt play with guns...

ya exactly, times have changed because 25, hell, even 15 years ago kids could play with toys without having to worry about being murdered for nothing more than playing with toys.

as a black man living in this world, I have learned you have to play the game in order to survive. that means follow the law, and don't appear to pose a threat to law enforcement. the police are the biggest gang in America and in the judicial system its guilty before proven innocent. I will instill this way of thinking to my gf's son as well as when I have a kid.
no toy guns, talk to police officers with respect, because they will either shoot you or plant some shit on you, beat you, etc. sad times we live in.

so much for a FREE COUNTRY when it comes down to 'times have changed' so we cannot live free, instead we live in fear of police.

weather that'd be fear of corruption, fear of them shooting without asking, or fear of being wrongly accused of a crime, bottom line is police are not held accountable for their actions.

well thats scary. im not afraid of crazed gunmen, im afraid of the cops. im also afraid for our society who feels protected by these people. glad i was never shot while running around with a bb gun in the hills behind my house.
thats horrible player. you must live in a city where cops are killing and shooting people all the time. i bet that sucks, and i would consider moving if i were you. my city has had a few incidents with police killing/shooting people, but in reality it is a very, very, very, very small percentage compared to people being killed and shot by non-cops. i hear gun shots a lot over here, im 99.9% sure it aint police dishin those shots. there was a drive by a few weeks back across the street. im 100% sure it wasnt police.

^^^lol and thats supposed to be better than where i live??? and I should move? i dont think thats a good example

cops are suppose to protect us, not kill us. and while u think its a small percentage, it happens way too much and is not nearly covered as much as random killings by civilians are. cops kill unarmed, homeless, retarded, etc. people all the time, daily. just as much as there are these random spree shootings or whatever. the media and our society just likes those stories more.

I've survived 5 drive-bys in my life, three of those while with children- targeting people that lived above me when I lived in apartments (fortunately I am blessed to have survived all of those without tragedy); the other 2 were me being young and dumb involved in shit I shouldn't have been. All of that is irrelevant to the police state and militarization of law enforcement in this country, as well as the manipulation by the government to try to circumvent the second amendment, not take guns away from criminals but to take them away from law abiding citizens. Also, none of that was as scary as the two different times the pigs almost killed my ass, once in Cali and once in AZ. Back to the story, a 13 year old child was murdered by the police over a toy gun.

The cops definitely were too trigger happy in this situation, but they've been that way for a long time now. The chances that you'll get shot by the cops go WAY UP if you're walking in public carrying a fake gun that looks exactly like the real thing, so common sense would tell me that I shouldn't be walking around with a fake AK-47 in the streets. Parents need to teach their kids these things, because if they don't, it's not going to come as common sense to them. The parents and the cops are to blame here. Sad situation

im glad you survived them drive-bys player, but that dont help the "be scared of police" argument. i doubt any of those drive-bys were by the cops.

and its relevant when so many people think the cops are the ones to be scared of. there are punk ass pigs in the police department. not all the cops are pigs, but there are mos def some punk pigs in the police department. however, when i have to walk to the store, or drive late pm/early am, im honestly not worried bout no cop. where i stay, i'd bet most people arent scared of a crazed gunmen pulling a shooting spree either. theres gunmen walking/driving around all day to be worried about. waaaaay more than there are actual police officers. the whole "be scared of police/fuck the police" mind state in rampant over here, but it looks stupid as fuck when 99.999999999% of the big amount of violent crime done is not by a cop. you aint teachin the kids shit with that mind state, your just keepin the cycle going and putting their safety priorites in a fucked up order. my mom and my little cousin both been (violently) mugged. my dad, uncle and little cousin all been robbed at gun point. i know a lot of people who arent here anymore, and none of those incidents were by a police officer.

fuck that shit, these pigs now a days shoot now & ask questions later & that is NOT how it is supposed to work, even if it is a child. Punk ass trigger happy police.

I stand by my previous comment, if this was my kid, they'd of had to shoot me too cause I'd go Christopher Dorner on their bitch asses.
Of course, we all played with guns, and kids should be raised, taught and made to feel comfortable around real guns imo. And that training should include the most basic principle that guns are no joke (even air guns) and if you don't take them seriously there's a good chance your gonna get smoked or accidentally smoke someone else. So yea, the parents really dropped the ball in this situation. Sucks for the kid

different day and age, the way the world was when we were kids a little different, but i know the toy guns i had were only played with inside or in the back yard....in todays society with all the crazy ass kids pullin school shootings they are growing up faster than we did and with bad parenting....its a wrap...the cop fucked up only by drawing his weapon too quickly before assessing the full situation....but like i said in todays world do you wait to see if your're about to be shot? or do you make a choice in that moment...i wouldnt want to get caught slipping by someone, anyone because i thought it was a cap gun first, how do i know from a distance...if it looks like an AK chances are im not sticking my neck out to far to really make sure ...and that AK in the picture looks fairly real to the real thing..do you wait for the kid to take a shot from it and find out?

real or fake?

not singlin you out breh cuz you are my homie, but answer me this. do you let stevie do the things we did as kids? cuz i know as young as i could i remember in the summertime, i was gone basically from sun up to sun down. if i wasnt gonna be home by dark all i had to do was call. i know for a fact my kid aint gonna have the freedoms i had growin up. this falls in the same category. hell yeah i played cops and robbers throughout the whole neighborhood, granted i was lucky enough to grow up in one of the best parts of vallejo. im still the same area and my son isnt walkin around out front with any kind of gun. we shoot the bb gun and shit in the back yard and knows the rights and wrongs with guns.

tl;dr,

growing up today sucks compared to our genereation.

There was a comment in the orignal artical that a witness mentioned That he drove by and saw the boy walking with the TOY GUN and he could tell it was a TOY GUN.

Rip to that child.
