I did a separate thread to get people's opinions on the albums they felt were classics, I then picked the top 16 most mentioned albums. safe and sound wasn't even mentioned bro.
Well, I guess I should have paid attention to it then...

Way 2 Fonky > Quik Is Tha Name > Safe + Sound > Rythamilism >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all his other records
No, Safe + Sound is the peak of his evolution as a musician. Best G-Funk album ever. After that he still made good music but that same spirit could not be recaptured again - I've seen interviews with him where he says he just can't find the same musicians to work with as on Safe + Sound but it's also the simple fact that the times changed.

Nah, not really. IMO, Way 2 Fonky was a superior album only becuase he was still raw. I have far more memories to his first 2 albums than S&S. In fact, i didn't even like S&S until about 10 years after it came out.

I was going back and listening to some G-Funk from the ealry mid-90's and i realize alot of that stuff just sounds dated. I yanked the Twinz and Dove Shack off my iPod this morning...just dont like it anymore.
