In the past 6 months I've basically double the amount of rappers I check for. I don't know if it's because I'm getting old and more tolerant of things I didn't like a while ago or if theres a huge wave of rappers that actually drop dope music. Either way, I wasn't wrong about Ludacris post-2003, he still fucking sucks.

I feel the exact same way. I've really ventured off to listen to types of music that I, 5 years ago, never would have gave the time of the day. There's also a lot of dope hip hop that's come out this year. Overall a very good year musically so far.
