Golovkin is another one of those few guys that only rehydrates a few pounds, usually he's right around 164-165. Thats why I hope he doesn't go up to 168. I can see Andre Ward trying to lure him up and knowing Golovkin he'll take it (he challenged Hopkins at 175 for crying out loud!).

Anyways, Macklin is a very tough opponent he beat Felix Sturms ass but was blatantly robbed in Germany. He gave Martinez a tough ass fight as well , I expect him to give ggg a fight, there will be a lot of big shots by both guys Macklin always brings it.

Martinez recently said that Golovkin could be an option next if he wins since Martinez says Chavez is too fat to make 160 and wont take additional drug tests.

But Golovkin plans on fighting two more times this year assuming he wins. HBO already has a November date set. Hopefully against someone like Geale then maybe a stay busy fight in December overseas. Overall he's planning on having five fights this year.

So...Geale vs Daniel Barker is on HBO in August. Most likely the winner will fight GGG in November on HBO. Sergio says he's down but not till early 2014 due to injuries.

Fighters like GGG, Mickey Garcia, Rigo, etc. are the reasons why HBO will win the war against GBP. Who wouldn't want to see GGG vs Mayweather after he fights Martinez? Like I always say, Mayweather is not as big of a draw as people assume.

Lol @ Mayweather/GGG. U guys want Floyd to fight everyone huh? Floyd might as well fight the Klitchko's also lol. Floyd is a tru welterweight. How in the heck is he gonna fight a tru middleweight lol. Floyd is the biggest draw in boxing so not sure what u are getting at. People didnt know much about Guerrero and thats why it did just under 1 mill PPV buys. Do u think if anyone else wouldve fought Guerrero that it wouldve did more than the Mayweather/Guerrero fight? I dont think so. Got Em!!

CZAR @CZAR I'm not saying he should fight everyone, but the thing is that GBP nor any other promotional company have fighters that interest the public enough for Mayweather to put up good PPV numbers. He's under contract with a cable company now so he has to put up good numbers. I'm pretty sure it's a two way street with this contract, meaning Mayweather has to bring in numbers as well in order to get his and shosports their money. If not, he would be considered a bust.

Right I hear ya but GGG aint gonna bring in big numbers either. No one knows him either. Us real boxing fans know him just like we know Guerrero but he wouldnt do any better than the Guerrero fight. Thats all I am saying. Got Em!!

Nah, I think it would do better numbers than Guerrero. Word spreads fast when a good/crazy fight happens and people would be saying Floyd gonna get KOd, casuals pick up on stuff like that and get interested. Guerrero on the otherhand not a lot of people knew him but the big problem was no one was picking him to win, so people weren't that interested.

Regardless, I'd rather have Golovkin stay at 160. He's worked this hard to be the best middleweight, he's almost there. No need to go down.

I wouldn't mind it either.. but I don't want Golovkin to drop to 154 chasing something he's not going to get. Sergio is the prize and that can happen if GGG wins tomorrow and again in November.

All eyes will be on GGG tomorrow. Anything less than a perfect performance and he'll be criticized a bit, kinda like Broner was for having a tough time with Paulie. Very high expectations for both these guys.

Well as of right now if Mayweather was fighting GGG instead of Canelo I would bet it wouldnt do as good as the Guerrero fight. Now who knows down the road as he builds his name but Im talking about right now. No one knows him over here as far as casual fans go. Thats all I am saying. Got Em!!

agreed CZAR @CZAR , thats why im sayin i wouldnt mind it down the road, like 2-0 said ggg is gonna have to give a perfect performance tomorrow(as well as in november), so that people in the states will take him seriously.

Well yea i can see down the road but again I was just talking about right now. But yes if he continues to impress over here in the states then Im sure his name will get bigger and it could make for a good fight in a year or so. I think GGG is to big but I also think Canelo is to big and he is fighting him so who knows. Got Em!!
