2 Chainz denies police claim that he was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco
San Francisco authorities said the rapper was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday.
TMZ reported Monday that rapper 2 Chainz and and several members of his entourage were robbed at gunpoint "in broad daylight" before a concert in San Francisco on Sunday. Surveillance video reportedly shows members of the rapper's entourage fleeing the scene "like cockroaches running from a flashlight."
The 35-year-old performer, born Tauheed Epps, was apparently uncooperative when police arrived at the scene, hoping to handle the situation himself.
Police told MTV News that the perpetrators had stolen the rapper's wallet "containing credit cards, U.S. currency and a cell phone."
In several cryptic tweets, 2 Chainz appeared to deny reports that he had been robbed.
