not correct! I'm a fan because of the music and I dont give a fuck if the artist is stuggling, making money, gangbanging, or whatever. We are the ones who have been supporting Mitchy from the beginning and we have the right to call his current music WACK.
I didn't say you couldn't call it wack I even said in that same post I wasn't talkin to those who called it wack. Disliking somethin and hating on somethin are two different things. I'm talkin to the people (in this case it was one person) who feel the need to HATE and SHIT on an artist for going a different route with their music in order to reach a wider audience instead of making songs that they want them to do which ultimately won't benefit the artist in the long run. He's moved on from the full fledged gangbanger life and is on to other things now so of course he's not gonna be making traditional Southeast records all the time.

I follow Mitch's music, but I couldn't even get through the first verse. Not feeling the chorus at all.. I know this is only one song and Mitch has a lot of tight stuff over the years, I just hope this isn't the direction he is going in.. I know he makes different s--t for different people so I won't count him out.. feet matched the paint slapped to me..

Hopefully he uses more Cricet beats.. This track sounds like he is going backwards musically, but like I said its only one song and he has too many slaps to not give him this pass IMO..
It's not at all a sign of the direction he's going everybody will see that when the album drops and when all his other projects drop. A lot of these songs on Won't Stop were recorded within the last 4-5 years. He has songs with Cricet in the vault. "Slide Through" which most of you probably heard a snippet of on Gangland is produced by Cricet and will be on Gang Intervention

Don't misconstrue what I said.... I'm gonna always support Mitch. I'll continue to buy his albums, if anything just based on the fact that he's a local product. But I am looking forward to his upcoming work. And I'm NOT knocking his hustle, every artist must grow and continue to attract a fan base.
I knew what you were saying. None of what I said was directed towards you. What you said here was the point I was trying to make. Bottom line is Mitch isn't just a local artist anymore so all of his day 1 fans are either gonna continue to ride with him or they won't. If you don't, I just ask that you understand what he's doing and not hate on him for trying to make a name for himself outside of the city by experimenting with different sounds. Thanks again for all the feedback.

i dont think the trap sound works for west coast rappers. maybe its the choice of the trap beats they r picking. because the trap beats lex luger and southside produce are hard as fuck. all the other clones just dont do it for me. now if luger and mitch do some shit together. i bet the shit will go hard.
Mitch has another trap song for Gang Intervention called "Twistin" with Alley Boy and I think everyone's gonna love that song it's 100x better than this in my opinion.

I'm not sure if I told you guys yet but Mitch also has a song with Trae tha Truth called "Green Light Krew" that will be on Gang Intervention too.

The point is, 90% of westcoast rap music is pure trash and I'm talking about the last 4-6 years. And there you have Mitchy, one of the hardest and best rappers on the Westcoast for atleast 10 years now. I quit listening to almost all other Westcoast Rappers and now I witness the route Mitchy is heading so thats a big disappointment to me, as a fan of his music.

All this reminds me of C-Bo.

I don't see how talking about how you used to sell crack is being versatile and moving on w the times. he's been talking about that his entire career

Case in point:

Listen to the first thing he says on here as the beat hits , that wraps up this entire song crack in a jar to me.

And drug flippin>>>>>>>>>crack in a jar tenfold

I didn't hate it, I didn't dislike it, I felt it, I just ain't really get into it.
Ill stick to the 20 other classic crack tales

Mitchy has put some good music out in his career but every song doesn't have to blap

Now if you call the song I posted wack, you may be slightly homosexual

Butvexpecting all classic songs: That's like expecting baseball players to hit all home runs and 3rd plate line drives, they entire career, sometimes you gotta bunt bro. And sometimes you don't keep up with the changing times, artistically wise.

He's put out enough quality music to where this one song doesn't matter one iota to me

I think they are referring to his choice in beats as being versatile, because his content hasn't changed much over the years.

What I don't get is how some cats will call this song horrible, but praise a song like Bass Chaser...Now that song was by far one of Mitch's weaker songs.

That's exactly what I was referring to in one of my other posts when I said the raw content is still there he's just using different sounds to basically talk about the same things he always has to have more appeal.
