Elk Grove Man Held on $55,000 Bail for Shoplifting
An Elk Grove man was arrested late yesterday afternoon for shoplifting.
According to Elk Grove Police, 57-year old Charles Caldwell was detained by loss prevention personnel at the Home Deport Store on E. Sockton Blvd. after he was observed sholftifing merchandise. Responding officers arrested the suspect and booked him into the county jail.
Caldwell is being held on $55,000 bail on burglary and prior burglary charges.
Elk Grove Man Arrested For Alleged Serial Domestic Violence
An Elk Grove man was arrested yesterday afternoon on domestic abuse charges.
According to Elk Grove Police, 19-year old Derrick Bambula had allegedly physically and threatened his victim over the course of several months. As a result of the assaults, the vicitm has suffered visible injuries.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the county jail where he is currently being held. The victim was granted an emergency protective order.
Elk Grove Police Arrest 13-Year Old in Stolen Car
Elk Grove Police arrested a 13-year old boy after being found in a stolen car.
According to police reports, the suspect was contacted on near Deodar Crest Court and Elk Crest Drive after he was found in a vehicle reported to be stolen from Merced. The vehicle had front and rear end damage along with a flat front tire.
The youth was taken into custody then transported to juvenile hall. The stolen vehicle was recovered and towed.
