Bad in a way cuz the Spurs let the Lakers keep it close in a couple of periods throughout the game.... Don't need the Lakers getting any type of motivation or confidence, and don't need the Spurs giving away opportunities! The Spurs need to figure something out with Bonner cuz he is getting beat in the interior with his sorry ass defense and the Spurs shot selection wasn't too great, glad we got the W.
Spurs looked like shiiiiiiit today and still came out on top. Hopefully they can use these Lakers as a warmup to get back into rhythm.

3. Jordan always had solid role players and defenders around him, who could be counted to play hard and make shots. Just one forgotten example - Steve Kerr is the all-time career 3-point percentage leader. It's not a coincidence that many of those players later went to the Spurs or the Lakers and won rings with them too.
You will never see me making the argument that Kobe is on the same level as Jordan, but the facts need to be properly appreciated - Bynum did not have a bigger contribution to those titles than Luc Longley did for the Bulls, and Lamar Odom, Trevor Ariza and Shannon Brown were key players for those championship teams and you can see where and how they are playing now... It's not comparable at all - those Bulls teams had a lot more talent than the Lakers between 2008-10

Longley was ass. He didn't do as much as Bynum, even if the stats suggest that he did. He was more like Gasol, shooting 16 foot jumpers with some success. He wasn't the big man on the team. They had Rodman guarding dudes like Shaq because Longley sucked. But Kerr wasn't a starter, he was a role player. Harper was the point, went to the it didn't change anything for them, just like it didn't for the Bulls and was no better than Horry (who also went to another team and won multiple rings). Odom, Ariza and Brown were no different than Randy Brown, Judd Buechler and guys like that that never went anywhere after those Bulls teams.
Anyone notice the warriors and lakers play at the same time on Friday? They bumped the warriors to ESPN 2 though. That's fucked up, I don't think I ever seen a playoff game televised on ESPN 2, might as well air that game on the radio only.
