that's dumb Jake, you can literally eat most veggies all day long and be full as hell off them and take in virtually no calories, meanwhile one slice of pizza has as much calories as like 3 giant salads full of veggies and you add in the 20grams of fat per slice that destroy your heart lol
veggies are the shit, i've been on a raw veggie diet for 5 days and have lost 7lbs already and even have one cheat meal every 3 days (even though my cheat meal was healthy also, tuna sub from Jimmy Johns)
raw veggies + a healthy cheat meal every few days = success and a healthy heart
veggies will fuel your body a lot better than just any random food also, eat a bunch of veggies and hit the gym and compare that to eating a cheeseburger and fries and hitting the gym and see how you feel
