DUI Question

Maybe somebody here knows about DUI's.

I had a few beers and watched the Warriors game at this bar on Friday night. I drove to the store by my house and needed to take a piss. Its a ghetto ass store so I pissed by the dumpster and the indian dude started getting mad and called the cops. I already have a DUI from 3 years ago so I didn't want to chance another one so I walked two blocks up the street with my girlfriend.

The cops couldn't prove I was driving and didn't do a breath test or field subriety test. The cop asked for my car key and said pick it up from the station the next day and to not move my car from in front of the store. He called us a cab and the cab drove us to my house. I got my spare key and had the cab driver take me back to the store and I picked up the car and took it home.

The cop must of talked to the cab driver because now he's holding on to my original key until I talk to him. He comes back to work on Friday and he left me a message saying we need to talk you picked up the car 15 minutes after we left etc...

Can he charge me with a DUI for that? I never took a breath test or feild subriety test. Can he arrest me for that on Friday? Can he impound my car?

Yup. Tell them you had a friend drive it. Didn't want to leave it in a bad neighborhood or whatever. If they say anything more tell them you would like to talk to a lawyer. Don't be a huge dick and they'll probably let you go because they know they can't prove shit. But if you are a big jerk they'll try to get you for something or at least fuck with you a bunch. Also how is it legal for a cop to take your key then be off work until Friday and nobody else can give you you're key? You might want to talk to a lawyer about that whole deal. No way is that legal.

I've dealt with cops like this before. You just got to be hella rude and shit. If he asks you if you drove the car home just call him fat and then ask for your keys. The ruder you can be to this cop the more he will respect you.
