If those kids all had .22s this never would have happened.
Well, people have been waiting for some right-wing lunatic to come out and say that we should arm the 7-year old kids for the last three days - I have not seen it yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone does say it.

I don't know how it is in the US, but when I was a kid, they wouldn't even give us forks in the kindergarten and in school in order to prevent us from poking each other's eyes with them - we had to eat meat with spoons which was not exactly convenient. That was by no means an unnecessary precaution though

I don't really agree with teachers carrying guns, however i remember my junior high and high school having an armed police officer on campus at all times. Why not do this at every school? I was kinda surprised they didn't do this already. I know there is multiple cops in my state that don't got anything better to do, why not post em at elementry schools too? Somebody could also make a bomb and kill more people then died in this shooting. Crazy people do crazy shit and unarming law abiding citizens is not going to solve the problem! Just last month some dude went on a college campus in Wyoming and killed 2 people with a bow and arrow but nobody has shit to say about that...

work harder and harder
Not possible. They used to work 24/7. People work less and get more for it. More rights, insurances, etc.!

The other day my wife saw a 'foreigner' (white guy) with a Chinese woman going to the movies. Two Chinese guys next to her started talking how those foreigner cannot find jobs in their own country, so that they come to China. Foreign trash...lol

How many people have been killed in shooting massacres in the US in the last 50 years - 500? 1000?

I'd rather see them take our cigarettes our take our trans fats.

Or make it so an unbuckled seatbelt stops a car from starting.

Those are real life saving measures.

Owning a gun makes someone 20 times more likely to die of a gunshot.

I dont see how carrying one makes it any better.

to me the ideal situation would be for the US to be like the UK when it comes to gun laws. this is from wikipedia:

In the United Kingdom firearms are tightly controlled by law, and while there is opposition to existing legislation from shooting organisations[citation needed], there is little wider political debate, and public opinion favours stronger control. [1] The British Shooting Sports Council now believes that the law needs to be consolidated but it does not call for a review. [2] The United Kingdom has one of the lowest rates of gun homicides in the world with 0.07 recorded intentional homicides committed with a firearm per 100,000 inhabitants in 2009 compared to the United States' 3.0 and to Germany's 0.21.[3]
With the exception of Northern Ireland, most police officers in the United Kingdom are not required to carry firearms. [4][5] Despite police being unarmed, shooting fatalities of members of the police are extremely rare; there were three in England in Wales in the eleven-year period from 2000/01 to 2010/11. [6] About 7,000 police officers have received firearms training [5][7][7]. Standard police firearms include semi-automatic carbines, and pistols, such as the Heckler & Koch MP5SF, and Glock 17. [8]

fucking cops there dont carry guns! wtf. imagine that here, no fucking way thats possible lol
I loved the UK. Although it looks like the US with accents, its far from it. Very different feel and much more progressive/forward thinking in terms of ideas. The founders of America wanted SOOO badly to be away from the rule, and look at us now? A bunch of bullies obsessed with guns (openly) and sex (not so openly). Yet, we allow our kids to see people kill other people in movies and we freak out when they see a breast. And you wonder why we have so many shooting rampages and child molesters.
