Well, I'm not cheap by any means. I buy what I want when I can afford it and it fits the budgets I make for myself but I rarely live beyond my means when it comes to purchases. It also helps to make a savings goal for the year and to also break it down into quarterly goals as well. I have a minimum I put into my savings a month after I pay bills, rent, groceries, etc and whatever is left over is my "free spending" money but that varies because sometimes I go into saving mode and put more into them and also in my line of work my paychecks vary in amount.

Im enrolled in the "keep the change" plan with BofA. Pretty cool way to save money.
I thought about doing that but then I did that math and using my Best Buy credit card I make more towards reward certificates to spend on stuff I'd spend money on anyways so I stuck with that which in turn keeps my from ever dipping into my savings.
