this is a few of the Bay cats who stand out to me...not necessarily who i'm feeling the most or listen to the most but to address the original question of who the new bay area trailblazers are.

Frisco - probably DaVinci...
Oakland - I would say Stalin is already OG and earned his stripes but right now he's definitely the king of Oakland.. i'd like to see if HD and DB get some longevitity, it's a lil too early for them to say right now
Richmond - Nio the Gift, IAMSU
San Jo- Rey Resurreccion

but honestly i dont feel like anyone is really making or updating that BAY AREA SOUND, i don't see too many up-and-comers putting on for their cities or even their hoods and really being apart of their community, and at the end of the day not too many folks are independently-minded like the OGs were, i see most new rappers focused on getting a buzz on the internet and very few traveling and making business moves on their own.

Well out of young rappers, taj-he-spitz has the best chance because the way he raps anyone can like him cuz he do every style but young gully, joe blow,Hd and blast holiday are capable. Shit, average bay rappers are better then most rappers from any where else though. Guys like the Jacka and quinn deserve it but they too deep in the game to get signed now.

Yea but at a show i dont really think half the niggas in there were really listening to the lyrics to even feel em though. You the most lyrical in the bay by far but most people too ignorant to listen to lyrics and understand what a good rapper is now days. You have to get worse to be successful it seem like. Look at Ya Boy, when he was in san francisco he was one of the best rappers, then he got signed and look at his music. Its worse but it get a lot more attention.

im not talking about jus lyrics...and not out of sarcasm am i asking were you there??? im really asking that cause i dont know who was all out there...but im talkin about image wise and also fan base wise...like were they already getting heard out there...did their first impression pay off...etc. ya boy didnt get weaker imo but i see what you mean by that...but there are plenty of cats who actually got better...j cole...kendrick lamar...kanye west to go a lil further back ...and a few others...i jus think the business in the bay is so unorganized and shitty that people arent gettin the national exposure they need no matter what they do...im not jus talkin about gettin felt by what you say...overall ppl wasnt gettin felt and imo nobody on the bill but me and maybe su were considered "lyrical" rappers...our show had the least amount of people there compared to errybody else's showcases...people movements out here aint thick enough nor pushin hard enough and peoples managers are gettin them stupid exposure out here and on the west coast but nowhere else and when i say this im actually including myself...im puttin myself in that category...all it really takes is unity that we will most likely never have

Nah, i wasnt there. And obviously your right since you lived it and your part of it. Im just saying that A lot of bay area rappers deserve to be famous but never will because of the fact that they are good. And when you say unity what exactly do you mean cuz a lot of people say thats the bays problem. Do you mean that yall need to help each other get on?

A-wax?? Hell nah, he average at best. Ive been all over the bay 2 and never heard of anyone listening to him, let alone thinking he could carry the bay.

yeah stalin is one of the closest and what i mean by unity is not putting people on but kinda like how the south does it...they get on songs do shows break bread together instead of jus doin it with one team...its more money in spreading out throughout the bay on a business level and making ourselves hot than it is in ppl payin for outside features tryna branch out without the right connects...etc. jus like its more power in numbers...if ppl came at this with a unified approach and everybody could get they biz right including me...then we would be unstoppable....bcus i feel like the bay can compete with anyone thas mainstream on any level...if we all used each others connects and stopped being so selfish about what we do...people cant be satisfied with the money they are getting because these other artists in other cities are clockin serious dough off of the same grind we started...and people are still 40 years old puttin out only their own music out here (no disrespect to anyone) and its dissapointin that we now have one of the hottest regions AGAIN(golden era 40 short luniz 3x etc.) but this time were not the ones gettin numbers off of our regions buzz...the record labels and mainstream dudes that feature on some of these guys shit is only getting them bigger and gettin us maybe a slightly bigger amount of exposure...ppl are gettin big features out here now...but the big names are not puttin the music we make with them on they shit so it does nothin but make you look bigger to the bay...the business out here and the lack of unity BUSINESS WISE IS FORCIN EVERY ARTIST OUT HERE TO SUB CONSCIOUSLY SALE THEMSELVES SHORT...ppl are not hell bent on expandin the bay...jayz brought a team to brooklyn...when has any rapper ever went at the warriors let alone have enough connects or money to even do that...and that guys management team manages about 5 or 6 of the hottest acts in the world(meek wale j.cole as far as rappers)...same with wayne and cmb distributing other labels records...they eat the artists eat...no toes have been stepped on...thas smart because that allows everyone to eat but also to be on their own platform...nobody and i mean NOBODY in that type of position out here has even came close to doin that let alone even attempting to try it since the last time we were poppin...but hey thas jus my opinion

There aren't too many newer artists that I think could carry the torch of the Bay sound. Thats just my opinion. As far as local artists I have to say Locksmith, Clyde Carson/The Team, Jacka, E-40, Rey Resurreccion, Young Gully, Mike P., Equipto, Nio The Gift, Zion I, Mistah Fab, Tuf Luv, San Quinn, Laroo, Dj Fresh. Thats all.
Again, I'm not feeling any of these new cats or this new non-bay sound /mainstream 110% pure clubby stuff such as Iamsu, Kool John, Loverance stuff. Don't get me wrong, I like club hits like 'Put Me On', 'Slow Down', etc., those slapped harddd when they came out, but certain other ones not feeling. my 2 cents
