I downloaded it. Have almost zero desire to listen to it but I will.
I like it. I've never been up on his music, but I'm really a fan now. I think he's signed to SubNoize which is why he gave out that album for free.

It's some shit I can bump in my sedan and feel good about what's coming out of the speakers.

Portland Hip-hop Pioneer Cool Nutz Signs To Suburban Noize Records
Portland hip-hop pioneer Cool Nutz has signed with California based Suburban Noize Records. Cool Nutz joins Suburban Noize alumni Saigon, Glasses Malone, Swollen Members and Slaine, as the latest artist acquisition for the label. Cool Nutz is currently working on a new studio album for release through the label in early 2013. Cool Nutz discusses signing to Suburban Noize, his upcoming new album and the Portland hip-hop scene online at http://bit.ly/NjHvOw.
“It was easy to make the decision to sign with Suburban Noize Records, as I was already familiar with their brand, hard work ethic, and understanding of today’s industry,” said Cool Nutz. “There aren’t many independent labels in today’s music business that take an old school approach to artist development like Suburban Noize, and it’s that approach that directly equate to long term artist success. From retail placement, touring, merchandising, and overall artist marketing, Suburban Noize Records gets it.
Cool Nutz is currently putting the final touches on his new street album “Portland” for release in September. “Portland” is set to feature guest appearances by Tech N9ne, Mistah Fab, Krizz Kaliko, The Grouch and Messy Marv, with production work by Bosko, Trox, Stewart Villain, Lawz Spoken, and more. The song “Champagne Toast” can be heard online at http://bit.ly/MnUgXz.
With close to 20 years of service to hip-hop culture Cool Nutz (aka Terrance Scott) has been a class act, diplomat, pioneer and voice for the Northwest scene. Cool Nutz independent grind has saw him drop nine studio albums and collaborate with industry heavyweights E-40, Tech N9ne, Kurupt, Bosko, Mac Dre, and countless others.
Cool Nutz relentless work ethic earned him major label deals with both Atlantic and Universal Records, and eventually take his future into his own hands by starting his own highly successful label Jus Family Records. As his career was on the rise, Cool Nutz has always given back just as much as he took from the hip-hop scene by co-founding The Portland Oregon Hip-Hop Festival (now 12 years running), and hosting The Northwest Breakout radio show on Clear Channel’s Wild 107.5. While most rappers are looking to put themselves on the map, Cool Nutz has worked tirelessly to give Portland and the Northwest scene a voice.
