Call me whatever you want, officially it'll be Filthy Richard from now on. Homies like Dirt will call me Rich, no issue.
Yeah, there's no beef with me and Bloc Star. I just can't run X's business like I used to so I stepped down. I also want to work with other artists outside of the label which is challenging when I'm committed to Raided projects. I'm not like DJ Fresh or someone who makes a ton of beats. I make a few a week. As Bloc Star's producer I wouldn't feel right giving those to anyone but X.
Look for a few of my beats on the new 4rax (Mekanix) album. Not sure when it's dropping but he picked up 4 beats so far.
Personally I think that Rich is one of the most underrated producers on this site, the dude has the ability to make some real deep beats, I felt that X finally had found someone that could maximize his lyrical content with a beat that kept the listeners/fans enthralled.
Due to situations out of Richs control, the separation from BlocStar was merely a business decision and I can understand his position. But if anyone with REAL talent and a ear for solid production needs beats, I highly recommend this dude....he doesnt make "beats", he makes well arranged MUSIC...there is a difference
I would like to see artists like ADR Lavey, Malice,C-Fresh (or any member of our Apt. 3 family) Sacred Ent, Moeses Soulright, Suga Free, Mac Reese, and MARS lay some tracks to some of Rich's music...dude has the ability to pull you deeper into the song with a few keystrokes.
Hit up youtube and check out some of the production for some of X-Raided tracks and see the heat I'm talking about..

difference, in my opinion, that separates Rich from so&so is he is a real musician, who plays instruments, vs a keyboard korg triton fruity loops engineer producer type.
