I'm busting your chops, do what you love.

I got in a conversation with someone today saying that I'm done justifying what I want to do. Seems like people tell you what they want to do, and defend it. You shouldn't feel the need to defend what you love in life.

Just random thought.
Or defending the people you love. I agree, though.

I love everything about acting. It's what I should have been doing my whole life.

What people do, either by ignorance of it happening or blatant disregard, is give you advice based on what they think you are going to be good at or what they think is best for you.

It's hard as hell to find somebody or a group of people who will support you in a way that empowers you to follow what you want to do WITHOUT interjecting their own desires for you.

can you sing well or you going to take some vocal training?
You ever heard of Roger Love? He's a voice coach for some of the most famous singers. John Mayer, Joaquin Phoenix, and Jeff Bridges, etc. are students of his.

Anyway, when I set myself down and want to practice, I listen to his vocal coaching. Not for singing, but for vocal clarity and projection.

Musical theater is different than singing in a sense because it's more like projecting your speaking voice within the confines of a melody, rather than using a different register than you speak.
