What movie did you just watch and what did you think?

The fact that this was based on a true story tripped me out. Alberto "Alpo" Martinez (Rico) did his man Rich Porter (Mitch) grimey. Both of them dudes, along with Azie (Ace) was gettin' money. Eventually, as is probably the case in most situations, a muthafucka got greedy and/or jealous. Fucked up. Coo that Azie (Ace) was able to walk away from the game though.
I came across that movie looking for movies similar to "Belly".
Shawshank was a great movie, overrated, of course, but a great film nonetheless. I personally think it would have been better with someone other than Tim Robbins in the lead roll, he seems to overact a bit at times, but still great all around.
actually watched this on christmas and I gotta say, pretty good film. Some of it was over the top of course and kinda far fetched, over dramatized, etc., but great acting by nolte & hardy, interesting story, fight scenes were done good imo. 8/10

YOUNG BLOOD (1978)

Michael (O'Dell) is an African-American teenager in South-Central Los Angeles, being raised by a single mother and beginning to drift away from school. Before long, Michael is running with a tough local street gang, the Kingsmen, who christen him with the nickname "Youngblood". Michael greatly looks up to the gang's leader, Rommel (Hilton-Jacobs), an angry Vietnam War veteran who is beginning to accept the fact that he's getting to be too old to be involved in the street gang lifestyle.
Shortly after Michael joins the Kingsmen, they move from merely battling other similar street gangs to becoming involved in a full-scale war against a local cartel of drug dealers. And, unknown to Michael and the Kingsmen, the head of the organization is Michael's own older brother.

pretty awesome escape from new york meets the warriors kinda movie. in the 1990 bronx is no mans land, cops don't go there and its ruled by gangs. then 17 year old daughter of weapon manufacturing rich fuck decides to run away and goes to bronx. and all the hell breaks loose. girls father wants her back, hires this dude called hammer to get her and hammer is vicious dude, who likes to turn gang members against each others and so on. plenty of action, dope characters, good music and fred williamson 4/5
true legend is about how beggar su became beggar su. some might know beggar su character from drunken master movies and some others too and he is master of drunken boxing. so anyway, first half was cool kung fu shit with supernatural elements, second half was cool kung fu shit, but not as good first half was, i liked over the top cgi fest more. then i didn't like how they added some breakdancing shit to drunken boxing. decent kung fu movie 3/5
30 Minutes Or Less - Was alright. Danny had me with "Sometimes Fate takes out it's big old cock and slaps you across the face with it!"
Hangover 2 - Same amount of laughes like movie above. Good, but the same shit as the first. Shemale scene had me dying though.
Horrible Bosses - Share the same pointage as the two other funny movies above. Wasn't that funny, but the cocaine scene had me in tears.
Thor - One of the worst movies I ever sat through. Dunno what else to say.
Human Centipede 2 - ...dunno...I liked the first one. Second one is just stupid. Didn't like it...
Dream House - Kind of Thriller Ghost Movie with James Bond. Nothing new here, but a good movie to watch with a girl.
Rango - Really like this one.
Super 8 - Was kind of a mix out of Goonies and Encounter Of The Third Kind. Liked it. Reminded me of my childhood.
Wrecked - Adrien Brody in a car wreck. gets out after 30 minutes. Robs around the forrest for another hour. Movie is over. Wonder how I made it through it without turning it off. Had the urge to fast forward throughout though.
Colombiana - Disappointed. What else to say...Fell asleep close to the end.
Mr. Popper's Penguins - Liked it. Sometimes I'm a sucker for kid movies...
Zookeeper - Well...it's Kevin James. Nothing new we hadn't seen before.
Trespass - I just wanted to punch Nicolas Cage in the face...damn, what an annoying movie.

Very good movie. I'm not a fan of musicals but this one was done really well. Highly recommend. 4/5
