I wouldn't be surprised if we traded Gore and Crabtree to the Cheatriots. Looks like Niners are tanking it.
honestly what im most afraid of is that Patrick Willis is going to want out soon! and honestly i dont blame him, he is way to good to be wasting his talent with a mediocre franchise like ours. Wish we would put a better squad around him.

Colts informed CB Kelvin Hayden of his release.
He immediately becomes one of the top cornerbacks available on the free agent market. Hayden was the hero of Super Bowl XLI, returning a Rex Grossman interception 56 yards for a touchdown. The 28-year-old's downfall has been injuries; Hayden's missed 18 games over the past three seasons and was due a $6.105 million base salary. He had two more pick sixes last season, however, and is a playmaker with plenty of coverage skills when healthy.

^ someone we should target imo

The 49ers have yet to make a big splash in free agency -- perhaps you've noticed? -- but they might be creating a slight ripple with the apparent signing of Rams inside linebacker Larry Grant.

Grant's apparent move was signaled this morning through the Twitter account of the former star at City College of San Francisco: "One door closes another opens," Grant wrote "... Another shot back in My city folks. Let's Get it ... San Francisco here I come ..."

A team spokesman did not confirm that Grant had signed with the 49ers.

Grant, 26, a seventh-round draft pick of the Niners in 2008, was cut by San Francisco after spending the early part his rookie season on the practice squad. He's spent the past three seasons in St. Louis, starting eight games and collecting 24 tackles and two sacks in 2010. Grant did not start during his first two seasons with the Rams. After the lockout, St. Louis rescinded the tender they had offered him in March.

With the loss of free-agent Takeo Spikes to the Chargers, Grant, if signed, could push NaVorro Bowman for the starting spot next to Patrick Willis.
