A lot of the movies from the 70s that got banned when they were first released are not that bad by todays standards imo. I'm a fan of Horror Movies and have a good collection, but movies like Cannibal Holocaust, I Spit On Your Grave, etc. are not as bad as for example A L'Interieur (Inside) or A Serbian Film. The last one being the most fucked up movie I've ever seen, with scenes I prolly will never forget.

a serbian film.. i'll have to check it out. to date, i'd have to say dead alive. though the original uncut version (brain dead) is even more blood-soaked, i'm sure.

EDIT: thats not to say Dead Alive is in any way the most disturbing gory film. its actually quite humorous. "whats the most disturbing movie ever?" would be better topic.
