BECAUSE BEING SICILIAN WE HAVE A LOT OF NORTHERN AFRICAN IN OUR BLOOD .

PASTA IS A SIDE DISH NO MATTER WHAT , ITS NOT THE MAIN PORTION. SO IN ITALY YOU WOULD HAVE PASTA (OF ANY KIND) THEN THE SALAD , BEANS , ANTI-PASTA , ETC. THEN THE MAIN PORTION LEMON CHICKEN OR RAVIOLI - THATS HOW ITS DONE ! -

ASK ANY ITALIAN - DANA YOU DID GOOD THOUGH ! - YOUR MAN WAS RUDE I THINK .

I'm Black and we have never had fried chicken and corn bread with our spaghetti. On the other hand when I lived in New York in an all Italian Neighborhood my best friend was Sicilian. Her parents spoke no English. They made the BOMBEST Spaghetti. That was like rice to them though. they would make the pasta from scratch. They had the sauce in jars already, homemade. The main dish was the chicken, beef, or pork (Which I don't eat). They NEVER served cold green salad as a side.
