They're supposed to be there to protect and serve, but even when you're not doing ANYTHING wrong, you get nervous. EVERYONE does.
My mom's in her 60's, drives the speed limit (at the most) at all times, and has never broken a law in her life... HOWEVER... She gets scared when a pig is behind her...
Why?
Cuz they fuck with random people on a whim for no other reason than the fact that they got picked on in school, wanted revenge, started using steroids and developed a God complex.

Yesterday I was driving and passed a Highway Patrol that was going the opposite direction about to get on the freeway. I did not even look at him but saw him flip a bitch in my rear view and he got on the freeway with me. He followed me to the next exit where I was getting off. He kept going but I know he was fucking with me for absolutely no reason other than to be a dick. This is why I make sure everything is in working order from my license plate lamp to my lights.
For the past few years its been workin for ya boi.....if I see them I act like I dont and I just keep doin me.....no suspiciousness or nuthin.....and we all keep goin on about our business.
edit:This is when I'm in the car by myself....if there's people in the car with me then the shit can go either way.
in my case usually the cop is looking at me already...so ill look straight at the cop and nod my head and keep it moving...but one thing i dont do, is if the cops behind me, i wont keep looking in my rear views. they take that as parinoia. (even though california law says to 'keep scanning the road')
the older im getting the more i realize that when in your car, you are at the mercy of police....and san diego is the last place you wanna take them on a high speed, unless its in your own hood with one way streets and slim streets.
now that im under probation cops can just search my shit whenever...even when i dont have shit in my car it makes me extra nervous, because theres always something in my car i FORGET about..
i just look at them to show them that i consider them another fellow driver on the road and note that theyre out doing their job, tryna protect the streets, and even if i dislike cops, i realize its they job...fuck it....as long as my L's are clean...it takes one fuck up for me to end back up in jail...i try to fight my parinoia with keeping real cool....i learned that shit through many trips to tijuana and being stopped at the border...

How is he a square for being smart and not mob a load that is known for drawing attention to themselves? I'd feel more comfortable ridin dirty in a common car than some fuckin hot wheels lookin car with hella slap. U just lookin to get pulled over and get harrased by the rollers. I know cats who try and sell their scraper or rims because they get tired of being pulled over.
