SAN DIEGO -- Twenty-one people were arrested today as officers from the San Diego Police Department and other agencies served warrants on alleged gang members suspected of assaults, robberies and drug trafficking.
Dubbed Operation Stampede, the investigation has led to the discovery of 30 weapons that were destined to be sold to criminals in Mexico, police said. Also found were a ballistic vest and numerous rounds of ammunition.
Suspects in three murders have been arrested, including the gunning down of 14-year-old Javier Quirez in August 2007, police said.
Since the undercover investigation began in December, 31 people have been arrested

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- San Diego police homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man in Emerald Hills Park Sunday.
Officers were called to the park shortly after 4 p.m. to check on a reported shooting. They arrived to find the victim, Cornelius Johnson, 29, down near the basketball courts. Johnson suffered a gunshot wound and died at the scene.
After the shooting, three black males were seen running to a late-model, light-colored vehicle parked on Tooley Street, police said.

A gunman in the back seat of a black four-door sedan fired into a group of people standing on the 5000 block of Westover Place about 8 p.m. Friday, hitting the victim once in the chest, said San Diego police Sgt. Jennifer Druihet.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was taken to Mercy Hospital in critical condition, Druihet said.

SAN DIEGO – A 36-year-old man was stabbed three times in the back and once in the chest by a group of men while drinking at his home on Mezin Way near Ritchey Street, according to police.
The man was in the front yard about 10 p.m. Saturday when he got into a fight with a group of five to seven men in their 20s, police said.
He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Gang detectives are investigating the assault.

On Wednesday evening (May 6th) at 10:45 P.M., deputies responded to the call of an assault victim with a deadly weapon in the 1200 block of 13th Street in Imperial Beach. When the first deputy arrived, a few minutes later, he discovered a 22 year-old male stab wound victim (Donniell Wilkins) lying in a driveway. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Initial reports indicate the following events leading up to the assault: Wilkins and a male companion were conversing outside of a residence in the 1200 block of 13th Street. Two Hispanic male adults appeared in an alley east of and adjacent to Wilkins and his companion. One or both of the Hispanic males made a gang affiliation statement. In response, Wilkins approached those individuals. It was at that time that one of the suspects lunged at Wilkins, stabbing him at least one time. Wilkins retreated to where his companion was standing and collapsed. The two suspects fled northbound in the alley.
The suspects were described as being young Hispanic adults. One suspect has a thin build, shaved head and numerous tattoos on both arms. The other suspect is heavy set. One of the suspects (unknown which one) was riding a bicycle.

i still remember when a chopper over mah piddad in IB was lookin for a suspect an they gave a general description that basically gave a green light on any young black dude walkin around that day; "average height, black male, shaved head, white tee-shirt, and blue jeans..." i was like, guess im stayin inside today haha.

yeh, ive noticed that for a minute. everyone trynna move out tha hood, but they forget...theyre bringin the hood wit em just to a new spot haha. theres NH out there, national city cholos, coasters, skylines, lincolns...everyone up out that bitch. i aint gott atell you that though. i mean shit, its right by the border..theres weight to be moved, an crack heads to be satisfied (well satisfied for a few hours ha) out that way.
