Hey now, i liked that also. So, if you can get some links from thee oh sees too, thatd be nice. I really like that visit colonel song, soo if you can get the cd with that song, that'll be even better.
Yeah, Thee Oh Sees (formerly OCS) has changed a lot from album to album. Their first four were like weird folky music (real good too though) and then they started changing it up to the sound you hear now. Visit Colonel and the others on their myspace (I'm taking it that is where you checked them out?) are all off of The Masters Bedroom Is Worth Spending A Night In. I think it's their best album to date but like I said their older stuff is pretty different and it's just the John Dwyer for the most part and not the dual boy/girl vocals at the same time.
Wavves is more or less just a guy named Nathan Williams doing lo-fi noise/surf punk. His self titled that came out in 2008 was one of my favorites. He has a 7'' called Beach Demon/Weed Demon, a new single and a new album called Wavvves coming out in March (I think).
Wavvves, haha, so he's just going to add one more "v" to make the new album name. Thanks for the links and brief but detailed descriptions, i'm gettn em right now.
lol yeah, just adding another v. Hope you like the albums. I've been home bored and kinda sick (or hung-over still, one of the two) all day so I've been listening to a lot of stuff. I'm going to start linking myspace pages when I can to my lists.
Real Estate - Highly recommended. Just pre-ordered their Suburban Beverage 7'' that comes out Feb 1st. If anyone wants their demo that has those songs plus a couple more let me know.
Rangers has a free download of his Street Smell album on his myspace in the about me and if you copy and paste that blogspot also in the about me there are links to three more of his work for download.
Also if you dig his stuff check out Ducktails, Sun Araw (check the video thread for a video by them) and Real Estate.
Plankton Wat, I only have his Crystal Wizard CDR so far, I can up it tommorow for you.
You have to register to see the main boards but lots of downloads and info on bands/artists in the noise, beach psych, experimental, drone, ambient, etc etc genres. I'm on there but I just lurk and leech lol.
thankksssss... and also do you know of Jim Noir? his tower of love album is awesome havent checked out his new one though cuz its been out since like 2006 but My Patch is great though my favorite just heard of him from playing LittleBigPlanet lol.
