There is absolutely nothing you can do to assassinate my character period. I put that on my mama, your not kickin anything that I don't already tell folks about me. I don't answer to nobody, not no woman, not no man but GOD. PERIOD POINT BLANK. All this shit sounds real good "people wanting to have a sit down and all this and that"....kill that noise..these kids don't know so they ooh'n and awe'n on whatever your kickin. Yall went from Playa Rae physically brings southerners in his own car or bus supposedly, to Playa Rae walked southerners through the SJ parking lot to Playa Rae had a phone conversation. Which one is it...I will get to that shortly. There are a few of us Latin BAY rap heads who do what we WANT period. Cats like Myself, Cisco, Bash, Jay Tee & N2Deep, Junebug Slim and many more. We travel, network and except the fact that we're going to have to be around types of artists that our home soil isn't neccesarily fond of. It's part of the business and the route we chose.
I've done shows with Northerners from San Jo to Frisco in the last 3 years and ain't a damn soul wanted to talk bout nothing but props and respect for what I do. I've had Coner tell me face to face he respects what I do and wanted to give me props for staying nuetral. I've shook hands with Big Oso no more than 3 or 4 weeks ago in San Jose and had a beer with him and homies from West San Jose. I've done shows in Colorado with Northerner's that had x4's on they Rockies jersey's to Car Shows in Denver, New Mexico etc. with Sureno's walking around with big x3's on their jerseys. You wouldn't know nothing about all that and what it takes for a REAL MAN to keep his cool and make sure he's safe in those environments while trying to push his music as a Latino artist in this fucked up business. LOL, probably the funniest show for me was the one I did in Colorado for KS1075 at Club Bash with a few locals there and Lil Rob that was 4 DAYS after yall through water bottles and cd's at him in the SCO at the Car Show. I already knew bout this cause someone sent me the video. I told him I seen it on my email. hahaha, his manager and him told me bout this when I was doing mic check. He was like they hate me out there man, I had to cut it short and I was laughing...I go man you trippin even goin out there they know about your past music dog with Low Pro etc. He said management pushed the move and he did it...he said Frisco and Stockton where there were a sea of red flags while he was on stage made him feel uncomfortable. Man....yall just don't know. I trip on hearing both sides I really do.
I've been there when Oso and the homie from Stockton put a mean ass whoopin on a southerner from L.A. for flaggin in S.J. (and refusing to cover his hands of his tats) at a show we all did for Raptalk in 2003. Matter of fact...email JUNIOR from Raptalk and ask him what I said bout his potna when we spoke that day? I told him he shoulda had his boy cover up cause he was lucky them cats was even willing to give him a pass out of respect for Junior. At that same show I had S.J. cats with sharks on they fuckin knecks and chests giving me love for doin the San Jose tribute song called MY CITY.
I've been in NYC (where yes, Spanky Loco who I never even knew about or heard of...came up to me and shook my hand in downtown Manhattan and said he read an interview on me and respected me for my views and more importantly my business ethic...and was good to see more West Coast Artists there) also, where all of the West Coast Artist came together to party for one solid ass week and show these NYC cats that we got talent too. Cats like Me, Don Cisco, Chingo Bling, Psycho Realm, Malverde, Don Abusivo, Clika One, Funkdoobie, Kemo from Tres Delinquente's, Lil' Rob, Lil Uno, Juan Gotti from Dope House, Low G, Rasheed, Play & Skillz etc. You wouldn't know how that feels because you've probably never left the Bay Area homie. I been in San Diego at the Latin Rap Conference where Me, Young Cap, Don Cisco & T.A. Guerrero were the ONLY Nor Cal artists there in a conference full of Southerner's and Texas/NYC artists here and there. Why? To try and make change and make more moves to break this fuckin cycle our people are in.
I've been on the phone with Julio Gold Toes where he's told me how much he respects me and what I do. I was at the PR Festival last year....ran into him there and he was amped just to put me on Thizz Latin's Treal T.V. 2 and we shook hands and chopped. I even connected him with other areas of Colorado that would support his music because he was curious how devided CO was with North and South when he called me. Even helped him and his wife with his website domain name purchasing. (more info you don't need, but I'm giving it so you realize how much you DON'T know.) Again....ALL of these people are BOSSES in shit your tryna salt me on. I'm 100 period...regardless of what you try and say bout mine fam. Do I know Spanky? Yep...met him twice....did he call me like some of the northern artists have called me? Yep...my DIRECT CELL PHONE # is on every cd I put out and at the top of my MYSPACE page for ANY OF YOU TO CALL and I put that in EVERY magazine interview I do...cause I be on some Mike Jones shit hahahaha. Did I give him directions to the SJ Flea? Nope....he had already went and dropped off cd's there and at some Swap Meats in Oakland. Did I not warn him? Shit.....please believe it. I told him Oakland and SJ ain't really places to be caught at and to be carefull cause it wasn't safe. Even more info I don't need to tell you..but I will so you can sit comfortable in your computer chair....did he ask me if there were other Flea's in SJ or was the one on Berryessa the only one? I love my life and the fact that I can go wherever I choose at the drop of a dime and know I am good because I keep everything in front so everyone knows where I stand at all times. Real talk homie, enjoy your life dude...get out and see some thangs...you live ONE TIME and then it's over. Self Imposed Boundaries kill the spirit from growing and enjoying the things it takes for granted. Your still gon be on some Fuck Playa Rae shit, I get it...and it's good...I really ain't trippin.
