Sioux Falls, South Dakota’s Hip Hop star Night Shield is back! The 2 time Native American Music Award nominee returns with the official 1st single from his forthcoming 3rd solo LP, “Loved & Hated”, which is due this October. The new single titled, “Broken Dreams”, features a very different Night Shield than what folks have come to expect trading in the club and the party to shed light on the problems of the rez and the world with this politically concious track. Produced by Mr. D-Sane the track pairs Night Shield with another South Dakota icon, Jackie Bird. Jackie Bird is an ispirational speaker, renowned musician and hoop dancer who has been on the Pow Wow trail for many years bringing her unique blend of “Indian Blues Rock” to the masses. “Broken Dreams” combines Night Shield’s Hip Hop flows with Jackie’s traditional vocals to create a powerful song that will stay with you long after it is over.
