Not only did Street Money Worldwide take a huge hit when Bankroll Fresh passed, but the industry suffered a terrible loss as well. Planning to introduce artists like Bankroll PJ, Quicktrip, and Nino Blaq, it’s clear to see that the legacy left by Bankroll Fresh was much bigger than him. Street Money Nino aka Nino Blaq was raised on the east side of Atlanta, Zone 6, Decatur, GA. At 16-years-old Nino’s future started to take shape as he began writing and rapping fluently while attending school at Cedar Grove High School. That’s when the union between Fresh and Blaq was created and they both began to cultivate their talents.
The co-founder of Street Money Worldwide, Martin “Nature” McCormick, told The Fader that it’s artists like Nino will keep the imprint alive and that’s exactly what the Atlanta rapper is determined to do with his new mixtape, Truth. Hosted by DJ Black Bill Gates, Blaq puts together a 21-track mixtape that fills a void that has been left in the streets. Produced almost entirely by Genocide Beats, the project comes with minimal features including Bankroll PJ, Kiyana Neal, Rico Stacks, and more. Along with the release of Truth, Nino also delivers a visual for “Trap Conscious,” which is featured on the tape.
