Stinc Team rapper SaySoTheMac dies after performing at Drakeo the Ruler memorial show

SaySoTheMac, one of the original members of the California-based rap group Stinc Team, has reportedly passed away on Thursday, December 19.

The news surfaced just hours after The Mac performed at Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles during a memorial show for the late Drakeo the Ruler. Fellow Stinc Team members began sharing tributes on Instagram Stories shortly after the concert, confirming his death.

Although details surrounding his passing remain scarce, Amy Movie reported that The Mac, born in 1994, allegedly died from an overdose. No further information has been disclosed at this time. His sudden death has left fans and fellow artists in disbelief, particularly given the tragic losses the group has already endured. Drakeo the Ruler, the group’s leader, was murdered on the same day in 2021, and another member, Ketchy The Great, also passed away that year.

Stinc Team members, including Ralfy the Plug, Young Bull, and DeneroDaDoughHunter, expressed shock at the loss, noting that The Mac had been with them just hours before his death. Known for his candid discussions on addiction, SaySoTheMac had previously shared his struggles and his journey to sobriety. He acknowledged the impact of substance abuse on both his life and the Stinc Team’s music, often addressing drug use in Los Angeles hip-hop culture.

SaySoTheMac, born in South Central Los Angeles, grew up with a single mother while his father was incarcerated for much of his life. Reflecting on his early years, The Mac described how his mother introduced him to alcohol at age nine, an experience that shaped his views on addiction.
