Almost two years ago, @thisweekintheuniverse reached out to me do a song for their upcoming project. At the time, climate change and the many natural and man made disasters were weighing heavy on me. So naturally, I felt compelled to write a song about it. If you told me then or even a few months ago when we chose the release date of June 7th for a song called “As the World Burns” that the world would like this in some places, I’d say that life often proves to be stranger than fiction (if you’re paying attention).
