Dark Lo’s Fiancée Reveals He’s Fighting for Life in Prison, Calls for Release

In 2021, Dark Lo was sentenced to seven years in prison for witness intimidation. Prosecutors claimed the rapper, whose real name is Charles Salley, sent an intimidating letter to Dontez Stewart, a government informant who testified against AR-Ab. Now, the fiancée of Dark Lo—Camellia Boyd, has given an update on the rapper’s status, noting he is fighting for his life in prison.

Via a GoFundMe page, Boyd explained the entire situation with Dark Lo in prison, saying the artist is battling stage 4 renal disease, HBP, and type 2 diabetes, all while trying to remain safe from COVID-19 running through the facility.

Boyd went on to ask for help and money for Dark Lo via the GoFundMe, revealing the rapper asked for a compassionate release due to his health condition but was never responded to.

“Surrounded by child molesters and violent offenders, things appear grim, after almost dying recently to covid contracted in custody, almost a month in the ICU, while battling stage 4 renal disease, HBP, and type 2 diabetes, my beloved is left with blood clots in his lungs, repeated strokes, and ignored seizures; has spent repeated stints in ‘medical isolation,’” said Boyd. Dark Lo and Camellia are asking for help as they have an attorney on board to represent the rapper. As of now, Dark Lo is currently facing five more years in prison. Stay tuned for more updates.
