I think the early Faces of Death are real.....they did get weak once they got up there in the sequals.

i watched faces of death before,forgot which one, but it had some villiage people doin a ritual...they laid some guy on the ground that was alive and took a knife ..made a cut on his chest .then stuck his hand down in there and pulled the heart out...nasty shit...then ate it,all while he was screaming

there was this other one my brothers homie brought over one time...think it ws called banned from america..it had a bunch of folks crossing a rail road,then it was this little girls turn and out of no where a train comes and smack..u could almost see part of her head come off..she got hit so hard

with most of those videos its a a mixture of real and fake. shit just has to be siffted through.

Faces Of Death was fake. I read an interview somewhere with the guy that made it, and he explained how he shot the whole thing. The video was done as a joke to show off make-up and special effects, and it just caught on. He also explains how they shot the cult sacrifice scene, and the monkey brain etc..

yea i saw 2 of them faces of death.. maybe some things was fake but i dont think so

when they smashed the monkey, its funny from the top of the tabel you see the monkeys head spinning likes going in circles, but on the camera underneath the table the monkey is just jumping.

then they got one wehre this parachuter falls into a crocodile swamp, funny thing is, you never actually see the guy in the swamp or the crocodile,

in another youhave an obvious fake of some woman getting shocked in the chair,'

in another one you got a guy rescuing some kid from a lake then getting his arm bitten of by an alligator, but when the gator is chomping down, thats when the camera turns blurry as hella nd all shaky even though the cmera was right there.

another one you got some guy with his leg chopped off after a car falls on it, complete fake

another this drunk girl gets her cranium cracked by a boat, but funny thing is they got cameras all over, right under the girl far away from the boat, right on top of the boat.

etcetcetc.

i think its 50/50 as far as fake and real shit in the videos.

on traces of death (whether its 1 or 2, i'm unsure about) there's this politician who's speaking at a press conference, then he pulls a revolver out of a brown paper sack, puts it in his mouth and blows the back of his head on the wall behind him. the camera then zooms in on his face as blood pours out of his nose like a running water faucet. in this case it was real footage. i know it was real because it happened years earlier and was national news for a while. the footage was never shown on tv of course. but with scenes like the infamous monkey-brain scene, some have been proven to be fakes. like i said, some is real, some isn't. its up to you to figure out how to differentiate.

they were all recreation except for some.....it even says so in the intro if you read the fine print, check the credits as well....some was real, most were recreation and fakes....even the monkey one...sorry to bust ya bubble
