VICTORVILLE, Calif. (AP) ― A Mojave Desert woman is in jail for allegedly attacking her sleeping husband with a meat cleaver.
Investigators say 33-year-old Olivia Geatian struck her husband three times in the head with the meat cleaver as he slept early Sunday in the couple's Oro Grande home. She's been charged with attempted murder.
San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman Stella Hodson says the couple's children were asleep in another room and didn't see the attack. The ages of the children are being withheld.
The woman's husband is hospitalized at St. Mary Medical Center. His condition isn't being released.
