shit don't work, never did. The reason people think it does work is cuz they are fryin their assess off while watching/listening. You could play Kenny G's greatest hits to Wizard of oz and people will be blown the fuck away.

"Some guy with too much time on his hands had this idea of combining Wizard of Oz with Dark Side of the Moon." - David Gilmour

"It was an American radio guy who pointed it out to me. It's such a non-starter, a complete load of eyewash. I tried it for the first time about two years ago. One of my fiancee's kids had a copy of the video, and I thought I had see what it was all about. I was very disappointed. The only thing I noticed was that the line "balanced on the biggest wave" came up when Dorothy was kind of tightrope walking along a fence. One of the things any audio professional will tell you is that the scope for the drift between the video and the record is enormous; it could be anything up to twenty seconds by the time the record's finished. And anyway, if you play any record with the sound turned down on the TV, you will find things that work." - Alan Parsons (Dark Side of the Moon engineer)

The only parts that I found to be in sync was the storm with The Great Gig in the Sky playing (Part 3 above)

Also, a cooler sync is Echoes with the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Probably because it's a cooler song and cooler video.

In both cases, it's just a nice soundtrack to the video, not a sync.

they did it with The Wall when they made that movie..
Totally different. The Wall album came out in '79 and several years later the movie came out. Much of the album was was re-recorded by Pink Floyd and some of the lyrics were changed to fit the film. I have the album and the movie (both awesome) and if you were to mute the movie and play the album it would not match up.

If they made dark side of the moon to fit perfectly with Wizard of oz, why do they deny it and say its just a coincidence? Wouldn't they want to be viewed as musical geniuses for doing some shit like that?

Yeah that shit mostly worked for me when we tried it. Of course we were out of our fucking sculls, but there seemed to be a few parts where shit really went together. But as others have pointed out, you get high enough and you can put just about any movie with any music and shit will seem to relate.
