Tips on text?

Ive just started out making graphics and i dont think i have gotten that good with text. Can someone give me some tips on making it look tight?

and should i download sum fonts from a website?

try acidfonts.com they have nice fonts or get the evil ways disc it has a shit load of text

A couple tips

to get sicc text..Its cool to mess around with the filters..And most importantly.Layer styles,,,,like gloss contour,bevel n emboss.....Crank the levels and you can get hella sicc text.......
