Just watched this film...amazing production value, but suffers from what Spike jonze (one of the Exec producers?), "Coraline", and many films/directors with great visual style have, weak narrative/choice in narratives. When you make lucid/elliptical fantasy films why try and stick to some narrative, just makes the film seem whimsy and weak. And this one presented more problems by weaving historical costumes, sets, and eras together. Will nod my head to that Crocodile Street homage they did, and the silent film stunt footage was awesome . THose are my immediate thoughts on the film.

Little girl was annoying as hell though.

the visuals were good. the plot not so much. I think the plot really suffered because it had two plots within the film and neither of them were very good. Didn't mind the little girl so much. She's not as bad as the little boy in Shane.
