The North West of America is growing, and who better to lead the way than Washingtons Number 1 independent label Bow Wow Records. Here we have the debut album from Mac Money.

Yukmouth, a big name on the West Coast and opens up the proceedings for this album, thats a hell of an introduction to start with, introducing Mac Money aka the "Pimp of the NW", to all the people listening. What we have here is the debut album from one of Mr. DOGs fellow label comrades.
The albums main production is credited to Bow Wow Records Big Squeeze who has done a excellent job on putting some head nodding, classic, west coast flavoured beats together. This album has been eargley anticipated since Mac Moneys verse on 'NW Ridin' from D.O.Gs "Ghetto Politics" album.
Well it's here and yes the left side of the states has another star.
Mac's lyrical skill along with rhyming ability is top notch, something you expect when listening to west coast emcees, he opens up on track 2 which is 'Keepin it Real' introducing himself and dropping some literature for the weaker emcees. The great production work does not stop as we follow on in to 'Blocc Monstaz' which see's Mac and MC bounce lyrics of each other in short blasts, which all comes together as a truly great track.
Mac Money never slips throughout this album. Label mate and CEO Mr D.O.G appears on the Funkdaddy produced 'Havin Thangz' then again on 'The Meeting' both tracks are top quality and it's great to hear two different styled, good emcees rhyming so well together. 'We Run the Streets' is a Mac Pacino produced track featuring Mac and AK, the track has an excellent harmonious hook which is in the style of Nate Dogg rhyming, it adds that touch to this great track.
'Slow Down' is like the calm finish to a heated album which has been full of heavy beats and street lyrics, 'Air and Opportunity' is a bonus track on the album, featuring Mr D.O.G again giving you that final flava of Bow Wow Records for this album.

This is yet again another great album from Bow Wow Records, Mac's debut is excellent, you can only hope he is going to match or better it with his sophmore unlike some emcees who fail to carry the torch past there debut.
Standout tracks are hard to pull out from a good line up but they include the single 'Just Dippin', 'Way Other', 'The Meeting' and 'We Run the Streets'. Pick this album up, I know there are a lot of West Coast fans across the globe, well this isnt Cali, this isnt LA or the Bay area, this is the North West and it is banging. Great work from a hard working label.
