Paypal & IRS starting next year?

Anyone heard of paypal and the IRS working together starting Jan of 2011? Read something where if you make over so much a year via paypal or do over so many transactions you will have to start filing towards making income and pay taxes on it.

I think you can claim income for up to 5 years back, i don't know why you want to pay more taxes.

Isn't there a difference between making money off records as a hobby and selling records as a registered business in the US? If I was to sell records from here I wouldn't be charged any additional tax because I'd sell them as a private person, as a hobby

A colleague of mine breeds race track horses and she's due to a certain percentage of everything her horses make in price money after she has sold them. And that is tax free because it's considered a hobby.
