Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles agreed Monday to a six-year contract that again makes the Pro Bowl quarterback one of the highest-paid players in the NFL. NFL Network's Michael Lombardi reported the contract is worth $100 million, according to a league source, and NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora also cited a league source in reporting that $36 million is guaranteed.

Talk about a roller coaster ride in the last couple years of his life.

Excited to see his o-line allow him to get destroyed. Hope he can keep running around the back field, if he doesn't, it's curtains.

Eagles have no o-line. Why else did they sign V. Young.

I hate what he did, i dont think he got nearly enough time for what he did. but you know what? he did the time given to him and so far has seems to be a better man, so therefore good for him! Hope he doesnt squander his opportunity this time.

You gotta look into the details, though.

Most Of Michael Vick's New $100 Million Contract Is Already Spent

http://www.businessinsider.com/michael-vicks-40-million-creditors-2011-8

The plan also anticipated Vick's big upcoming payday, arranging it so that the more money he makes from football, the larger the percentage of his income gets devoted to creditors.

For example, last year he made about $5.25M playing for the Eagles and 25% of that was allocated to creditors. This year, his income will soar to approximately $16M per season, meaning that 40% will now be automatically redistributed to various debts.

Add in state, local, and federal taxes and that means more than two-thirds of Vick's new contract is already spoken for. That would make the take home pay on his "$100 million" deal (assuming he only collects the guaranteed portion) closer to $12-13 million.

i don't think he's getting garnished. i think he's paying his creditors back, via bankruptcy proceedings.
