LIL WAYNE SIGNS BACK TO CMR FOR 4 MORE ALBUMS
After much speculation on his departure to Def Jam, Lil Wayne re-signed to Cash Money Records earlier this week.
In recent months, rumors spread that Weezy was unhappy with Cash Money and wanted to leave the label due to monetary conflicts. Shortly after, rumors surfaced that Jay-Z had signed Wayne to Def Jam. The speculations have now been put to rest as Wayne officially renewed his contract Cash Money this week.
With Tha Carter still moving units, he is presently working on his group Young Money which also features Boo of Boo & Gotti, former 504 Boys member Curren$y and New Orleans battle rapper Maine. In addition to re-signing with the label, Wayne's Young Money Entertainment imprint will operate via Cash Money/Universal.
The Nawlins rapper has also been hitting the books lately. Wayne recently registered and is slated to attend the University of Houston for this upcoming Spring semester.
