4 of the 5 teams in the Pacific Division are scoring and allowing 100 points a game. Matter of fact, 7 teams in the West are in that category, while the East boast only 2 teams. Of those 7, 3 are playoff bound as of RIGHT NOW (Denver, Phoenix, LAL). only 1 of the 2 from the East is playoff bound RIGHT NOW (Washington).

I dont knwo why, but that seems like an awful lot of teams (9) to score and allow triple digits a game. Funner games to watch, though.

Another interesting stat:

Dunks & 3-Pointers account for 67% of J.R. Smith's (Denver Nuggets) field goals.

He's a living videogame, lol

That's really interesting b/c it aligns perfectly with the college basketball stereotype of the fast high scoring game of the Pac-10 vs the slower games of the Big East & Big Ten.

It's got to be just a coincidence, b/c there's no logical explanation as to why there'd be a geographic trend in professional basketball, while in college there is.
