HELP: Anyone got Madden 2002 for the N64?

I got a PS2 now and have Madden 2003 but one thing I've been very curious about for a couple years now is about the Challenge Status in that game. In the N64 version of Madden 2002 the Challenge Status is there but you can't use it, you can see it on the screen but you can't press it. Anyone know why? Is there a code to unlock it?

Help me out if you got it
