Anyone see this movie? I went and saw it the other day...

Overall it was a good movie, definitely worth the $9, but it kinda drags as its 3 hours long. I also expected a shitload of fighting, but there was only 3 or 4 scenes. When the fights happened though, they were crackin.

Its all about immigrant gangs from the 1860's in New York, perdominatel Irish gangs. I've read a lot of History on this period in New York and it seems to be pretty historically accurate.

Like all historical fiction stories, there seems to be a lesson to be learned from this that still runs true for today. An interesting ass movie, I'd reccomend it to all of you, not your typical gangster movie either.

havent seen it, but it looks tight. also its by my favorite director, scorsese. that foo did godfellas, casino, raging bull, taxidriver......................

i saw that shit too and it does drag a little, but the fight seens were nice and bloody, the way their supposed to be.

i liked the bitch with the sharp teeth and claws, she was a real killa
