UFC 103 is looking weak atm, but if the rumored fights end up happening 103 will definitely do good head to head with Mayweather Marquez. If it stays the same i'm probably going to be watching Mayweather.

btw those looking for the 103 rumored fights:

Cain Velasquez vs Shane Carwin for #1 Contender
Chuck Liddell vs Rich Franklin
Matt Hughes vs Mike Swick

I wouldn't be surprised if UFC does better numbers wise because for one, Marquez is pretty unknown besides to boxing fans and the mexican community and two, this is seen as a TUNE UP fight for Mayweather.

Mayweather has always needed another big name to sell well. Check his PPV history. Oscar & Ricky hatton are his big events. Other than that he did around 350K on average.

lol u a funny dude if u think ufc fucks with boxing in ppv's, Mayweather alone shut ufc down with ppv #'s and his last 3 fights if u wanna go their lol!!!! but im not hating on ufc I watch both sports and love em both(boxing more tho). but the ufc needs to stop it with these horrible ppv cards every week(literally lol), whats it gona go to ufc 1000
side note: Mayweather made 25 million his last fight, name me a fighter in the UFC that makes money anywhere near that lol!!!! if those #'s u presented to me are true Dana White is Pimp of the year lol!!!! he cant even keep his top fighters happy(Anderson Silva, Couture) show me the money!!!!

Please not another MMA vs boxing thread. The two don't compete against each other as much as idiots would lead you to believe. In the days of tivo and entire websites dedicated to being able to download fights from both sports at your convenience and people are still arguing on which they're going watch? If you only like boxing you're going to watch Mayweather vs Marquez, if you only like MMA you're going to watch UFC 103 and if you like both you're going to watch both regardless.

Dana White is a PROMOTER and who's doing exactly what every other great promoter does and that's hype up his own business.

id be more interested in watching UFC 103 rather then see PBF run around circles till the 8-9th round when marquez gets KO'ed because hes all winded from chasing PBF around.

as for the payouts for MMA vs boxers are ridiculous. Machida and Evans both got $200,000 plus i believe $70k win bonus which isnt shit compared to what PBF is making. this is why Tito Ortiz isnt fucking with Dana and UFC.

Hard to compare salaries because they are two different sports.

Plus, the UFC invests a lot of its profit right back into the business.

Boxing promoters are more into making 'now' money than investing into the sport's future.

Plus UFC is just one organization that dictates everything, the fighters don't really have much say/rights as far as salary goes which is good & bad. With boxing the majority of everything in is in the fighters hands, which is also good & bad.
